Holder: “I think we are in a dangerous time…”
Oh really? What was your first clue?
Holder said he’s worried about the estimated 7,000 Americans and Europeans now fighting in Syria, who will return home, intending to wage terror attacks.
“In some ways, it’s more frightening than anything I think I’ve seen as attorney general. You know, 9/11 was something that kind of come out of the blue. This is a situation that we can see developing, and the potential that I see coming out, the negative potential I see coming out of the facts in Syria and Iraq now are quite concerning.”
Those who can connect the dots will be interested in reading, “The Truth About Iraq, and Why it Matters,” by Dick and Liz Cheney.
(And for laughs…) Huffington Post points to investigations that dispute Cheney’s claims citing the New York Times, a newspaper that on at least two occasions undermined the troops and the Bush administration by leaking sensitive information. Also cited was the 911 Commission, a body whose main area of interest was covering for Bill Clinton’s failure to “connect the dots” and a 2008 Pentagon Report in which defense of the bureaucracy took precedence over fact. In fact CNN’s reporting on the Pentagon Report was titled, “Hussein’s Iraq and al Qaeda not linked, Pentagon says,” but at the bottom of the article the following information is included:
The documents cited in the report do reveal that Hussein supported a number of terrorists and terrorist activities inside and outside Iraq.
“The Iraqi regime was involved in regional and international terrorist operations prior to Operation Iraqi Freedom. The predominant targets of Iraqi state terror operations were Iraqi citizens, both inside and outside of Iraq,” according to the report. Read excerpts from report (pdf)
Most of the terrorism was aimed at keeping Hussein and his Baath party in power, according to Pentagon officials.
“State sponsorship of terrorism became such a routine tool of state power that Iraq developed elaborate bureaucratic processes to monitor progress and accountability in the recruiting, training and resourcing of terrorists,” according to the report.
The report cited such examples as training for car bombs and suicide bombings in 1999 and 2000, both of which U.S. and Iraqi forces have struggled to contain since the rise of the insurgency in summer 2003.
The Cheney’s cited documents from the Iraqi Regime. The Pentagon report also cites revelations from these documents but then releases an absurd (political) conclusion to the press! They got away with it too because most people don’t read the report or the last paragraphs of a CNN article.
Now that this administration has thrown away a stable Iraq and allowed the resurgence and growth of radical terrorists, the best opportunity we had to defeat these dangerous people and to free Muslims and others who desire freedom and secular government, Holder and Obama have “noticed” America faces a “serious” threat.
It’s a holy smokes moment? Incredible!
Would that they had been less partisan and more focused six years ago…in fact 12 years ago when, had they and their cohorts defended the nation instead of playing politics, they would have supported our nation and it’s troops by giving Bush every bit of assistance and support they could muster! Then, had they still won the White House, they could have built on the gains made and we’d all be safer today!
IMHO, Holder’s remarks are intended as a smoke screen for what is happening on our southern border.

Well, at least they have noticed. I suppose that counts for something, but of what I am not exactly sure. Perhaps Boehner said it best —

You just gotta love Eric Holder and his priorities. Mark Steyn writes —
Banana Republic Update! Exactly a week ago in this space, I wrote:
Speaking of lèse-majesté, even when our sovereign liege lord is not present, it is improper to disrespect him. For example, Friday’s Fourth of July parade in Norfolk, Nebraska included a float with a wooden outhouse labeled “Obama Presidential Library”. According to the gentlemen of the press, the float has “drawn criticism”.
And we can’t have that, can we?
‘Norfolk City Councilman Dick Pfeil told the Omaha World-Herald that he was unhappy with the float, and he wanted to make clear the city had not approved it.’
Because nothing better exemplifies the spirit of Independence Day than having your float approved by the government.
Well, the good news is that Eric Holder’s Department of Justice – that would be the same Department of Justice that supplies guns to Mexican drug gangs, and monitors the phone calls and emails of US journalists, and declines to investigate the IRS’ obstruction of justice, and prosecutes states that seek to verify the immigration status of people within their borders, etc, etc – Eric Holder’s Department of Justice has dispatched a crack team of agents to Nebraska to investigate said act of lèse-majesté toward King Barack:

I wrote about the Cloward Piven strategy a number of years ago here at PS. I never dreamed at that time it could be upon us so quickly. I sure hope the young people wake up to the radicals (and the dopes) in power…we are quickly moving to a third world reality.
Thanks for sharing.
Our readers can find out more about the strategy at Discover the Networks.
Pie, I read about the parade float and cracked up. Again it’s only a racist issue because we have a half black Democrat in the WH. When the same float had Bush on it no one said a word.
This is just another example of how incompetent, biased and thin-skinned this administration is.
There are investigators available for a float, but not one for the IRS who isn’t a major Obama supporter.
Some of the young are not waking up, they choose to remain clueless and uninformed.
