Major Shakeup in Middle East – Oil Spikes

by Jack

King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia, died during the night. His successor is his 79-year-old half-brother, Prince Salman, who recently has taken on the ailing Abdullah’s responsibilities. Meanwhile in Yemen, President Hadi has stepped down creating another power vacuum. Yemen has been waging a struggle for stability against militants and tribal unrest.

Hadi, a former general, blamed the Houthis’ control of the capital Sanaa for impeding his attempt for reform, the deepening poverty and U.S. drone strikes on Islamist militants. His resignation on Thursday startled the Arabian Peninsula country of 25 million, where the Shi’ite Muslim Houthis emerged as the dominant faction by seizing Sanaa in September and dictating terms to a humiliated Hadi, whom they had held as a virtual prisoner at his home.

And didn’t we hear from da prez a few months ago that Yemen was a “success story?”
    If Yemen is a success, I’d hate to know what Obumble considers a failure . . . . .

  2. Tina says:

Maybe it’s time to officially recognize what our Prez means when he talks about success.

He thinks his economic policy has been a success.

He thinks Obamacare is a success.

He thinks his immigration policy is a success.

He thinks his tax policy is a success.

He thinks Dodd/Frank has been a success.

He thinks stimulus programs have been a success.

He thinks his foreign policy is a success.

When “fundamental transformation” is the goal….

    Let’s revisit what that means:

Fundamental: 1. forming or relating to the most important part of something, 2. of or relating to the basic structure or function of something

Transformation: change in form, appearance, nature, or character.

Obama has certainly succeeded in fundamentally transforming America. We’re on a fast track to third world status!

To understand the impact and importance of America his success consider: America is no longer the “Shining City on a Hill,” the beacon for liberty and justice. In a world riddled with the ideals of Marx, Mussolini, Castro, Hitler, Mao, Pol Pot, and the entire string of redistribution and control tyrants, we need only look at the sad state of the world now that America no longer stands for the fundamental ideals of our founding.

In regard to the amount which one should be taxed , Federalists, those in between, and even some anti-Federalists all thought the like. If those who were out of work are taxed a low amount, they would feel only a small need to try and get a job. If the taxes were higher, ample enough to cause burdensome upon the individual, they would need to find work in order to survive. This was the view of Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, George Washington, John Adams, and Benjamin Franklin alike. While this seems an extreme position to take, Benjamin Franklin argues:

I am for doing good to the poor, but I differ in opinion of the means. — I think the best way of doing good to the poor, is not making them easy in poverty, but leading or driving them out of it. In my youth I travelled much, and I observed in different countries, that the more public provisions were made for the poor, the less they provided for themselves, and of course became poorer. And, on the contrary, the less was done for them, the more they did for themselves, and became richer.[6]

While the poor would clearly object to higher taxes, Franklin argues that those poor who have harder initial burdens, do better on average verses those having money given to them or deducted from payments by a higher authority. Thus, clearly objecting to tax cuts and extreme national help on low-income families.

When it came down to the specific arguments that were made, Federalist and anti-Federalists parties were not in disagreement of national verses no national authority. Rather, what and how much power should be given to the national authority in order to assure it would not be abused nor mistreated.

The Democrat Party has been run by socialists and radical socialists for decades. They align more with Marx than they do with Washington, Hamilton or Adams. What Obama has done has been a great success as far as they’re concerned too!

King Abdullah “Could not Stand President Obama,” by Keith Koffler

According to Richard Engel of NBC News, Abdullah’s feelings were not warm, and if they seemed that way to Obama, they were not genuine.

You see, unlike Obama, who thinks other world leaders like him because they dig Obama, Abdullah understood that friendships between leaders are based on what they can do for each other’s countries. And for Abdullah, where Obama was concerned, that wasn’t much.

    Said Engel:

The king could not stand President Obama because the president was supportive of the Arab spring, because the president did not support Hosni Mubarak in Egypt – in fact turned his back on Hosni Mubarak in Egypt.

I doubt that the King was alone in his opinion.

  4. J. Soden says:

And now we have Obumble changing his trip to India to include Saudi. Strange, given that King Abdullah couldn’t stand him.
Obumble must need to make a stop for another selfie……

  5. TeaParty dave says:

Why are you worried about Obama? Boehner is running the country!

He has Bibi coming to lobby for our war with Iran!

Obama is just a figure. We will soon be at war making lots of war planes, drones, ammunition and leaving the extra’s for the next group out there! Things are great!

The Democrats say nothing as we pillage the constitution and get our way!

Hip Hip Hooray for Jon Boehner running foreign policy! The end game is near!

We will have control of the population and there will be no more government! Hail Hail!

Remember the Saudi’s helped finance 911! And we got our wars! be nice and respect the King!

Methinks TeaParty dave is Joe Shaw or a reincarnation of another friend of Chris dope whose former handle I forget.
