Examples,
1. Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal said he cut the state budget by 26 percent, but that drop is due to a decline in federal funds.
2. Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul said he was “leading Hillary Clinton in five states won by President Obama.” Actually his numbers are within the margin of error in all five states.
3. Former Sen. Rick Santorum of Pennsylvania said workers’ wages “have flatlined for 20 years,” when the average real earnings for rank-and-file workers is up about 13 percent.
4. Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton Admitted to the following lies:
— Chelsea was jogging around the World Trade Center on Sept. 11, 2001. (She was in bed watching it on TV.)
— Hillary was named after Sir Edmund Hillary. (She admitted she was wrong. He climbed Mt. Everest five years after her birth.)
— She was under sniper fire in Bosnia. (A girl presented her with flowers at the foot of the ramp.)
— She learned in The Wall Street Journal how to make a killing in the futures market. (It didn’t cover the market back then.)
Whoppers She Won’t Confess To:
— She didn’t know about the pardons of members of the violent Puerto Rico nationalist group FALN.
— She didn’t know that her brothers were being paid to get pardons that Clinton granted.
— Taking the White House gifts was a clerical error.
— She didn’t know that her staff would fire the travel office staff after she told them to do so.
— She didn’t know that the Peter Paul fund-raiser in Hollywood in 2000 cost $700,000 more than she reported it had.
— She opposed NAFTA at the time.
— She was instrumental in the Irish peace process.
— She urged Bill to intervene in Rwanda.
— She played a role in the ’90s economic recovery.
— The Rose Law Firm billing records showed up on their own.
— She thought Bill was innocent when the Monica scandal broke.
— She was always a Yankees fan.
— She had nothing to do with the New Square Hasidic pardons (after they voted for her 1,400 to 12 and she attended a meeting at the White House about the pardons).
— She negotiated for the release of refugees in Macedonia (who were released the day before she got there).
There’s more….
Wow with so many choices it’s difficult to know where to start commenting, so I guess I’ll start with Jindal. I looked for information with a search and found a lengthy article in the NYT that pretty much followed the criticism articulated at #1 above.
I also found an article in The American Spectator that claims his record is mixed. For instance, he gets high marks from CATO for cutting state spending. CATO isn’t an organization that fails to dig deep into a budget to form an opinion so I trust their evaluation. Jindal believes in smaller government as evidenced by his cutting the size of government by 26%, according to data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. He also put in place a new pension system for new hires in education which will cut costs in the future. One budget criticism was his “corporate welfare” economic development programs. I can’t fault the attempt to keep and attract jobs to his state but also recognize that in these bad economic times this kind of spending (CATO calls it waste) doesn’t sit well. There were no figures showing tax revenues realized from these companies. They received tax credits but the question for me is, “Did the tax revenue exceed the tax credits?” None of that money would be realized if the companies went to another state. What about the jobs created? Revenue flows from jobs created as well.
Evaluating a governors record isn’t easy. I caution everyone to rely on more than one source, particularly as we enter the next political season.

I am very happy to see that John Kasich has earned a spot in the Republican presidential primary debate on Thursday, August 6, 2015 at 9:00pm PDT on the Fox News Channel.
Be there or be square.
A few weeks ago I saw Chris Wallace on Fox News Sunday interview Kasich after he officially announced he would run. I tried to find a video of that interview but failed. I was very impressed by his security, defense, and foreign policy background.
I’m looking forward to Thursday evening too but are you sure it’s airing 9:00pm PDT? I know it airs at nine in the east but wouldn’t that translate to six Pacific? I assume they want the nation to experience it live.
BIG OOPS! I was thinking 6:00pm PDT but for some reason entered 9:00pm (the EDT time). I must have been distracted.
I could have listed a bunch more Hillary fabrications, but you get the idea. Anyone besides Dewey going to vote for her? I’m pretty sure Chris wouldn’t and I doubt Libby would. Libby doesn’t like it when democrats get caught lying like Hillary.
Re #5 Post Scripts : My experience is that what progressives say and what progressives do are often contradictory.
Rule #1 Never believe anything a progressive says.

RNC and Fox News should send him a thank you note.
Also, the top 10 candidates will be on at 5:50pm PDT and the rest of the candidates will be on at 2pm PDT.
Having a friend over for pizza and wine while we watch the top 10.
LOL Now Jack explain to me how you think I a voting for Hilliary!
I am against all establishment corporatism and the TPP.
BTW Just Because the establishment and Bankers decided on a Bush/Clinton election does not mean the people will support it.
People are tired of the Clinton’s and The Bush Family corruption is decades deep. Americans are tired of both.
Anything can happen in Politics. Maybe the media will control the sheeple but that is not a given.
Last Primary I voted in the Republican election. This primary I will be voting in the Democrat election.
I am an Independent. I do not let the corporate controlled Media control me. Both Parties suck.
All this fabricated Propaganda is unnecessary. I am not going to even check to see what is true and what is not.
What is missing in this GOP Campaign? Real Policy answers. Real issues and real debate.
Negative ads and never any substance. Vote on the issues not the Media driven Propaganda machine. Collecting millions in superpac ad money lying to Americans for the donors greed.
Wall Street is going to crash the economy. That will change everything.
I will not be voting for any negative ad campaign.
This is not a football game.
BTW who is your candidate?
Re #9 Dewey : “I am not going to even check to see what is true and what is not.”
Yep, none of them media propagandists are get ol’ Dewey, he taint no fool sheeple like everyone else. He takes his marching orders straight from Media Matters, Mother Jones, and Pacifica News (such as Democracy Now!), not those sneaky news corporations.
Dewey speaks for “the people!”
Pie wrong once again as I said I find actual documents, Remember I am In Balt/DC right now. I am here for political reasons.
So again who is your candidate folks? WHat is the platform you support?
You do not get it I cut the cord with main stream media. Media is all bought out much like Nazi Germany as Goebbels got his wings.
Pie I laugh at your attacks.
Yes Pie you are correct I am with “The People” We are rising. Real Grass Roots rising.
Join us .
Dewey, you don’t speak for “the people.” You can’t even maintain a coherent thought in your own head.
Nice fantasy you have going there with your lobbyist delusion. Have you ever given thought to professional help? Seriously Dewey.
