If you did not see the 60 Minutes interview done by Steve Kroft with Barack Obama, you missed an opportunity to meet the real Obama. This president (that many claim is the worst president in history) thinks he is doing an excellent job and would be re-elected if he ran again! It stunning to watch this crazy egomaniac, but all voters should, especially if you voted for him.
Speaking on ISIS, President Obama said, ‘Over time, the community of nations will all get rid of them, and we will be leading getting rid of them. But we are not going to be able to get rid of them unless there is an environment inside of Syria and in portions of Iraq in which local populations, local Sunni populations, are working in a concerted way with us to get rid of them.’
President Obama speaks of something that doesn’t exist! There’s no community of nations and what’s worse, he’s saying that Sunni Muslims must defeat a group that has pledged to deliver death and destruction to America. These are the same people being beheaded by ISIS in Syria and Iraq! These are largely poor, unarmed, civilians and they are supposed to rally behind some make-believe “community of nations and do our work for us?” Obama is completely off the rails, he’s nuts and he believes exactly what he is saying, this is incredible and scary!
The president goes on to say, ‘I guarantee you that there are factions inside of the Middle East, and I guess factions inside the Republican party who think that we should send endless numbers of troops into the Middle East, that the only measure of strength is us sending back several hundred thousand troops.‘ So, according to President Obama, there is no solution to radical Islamic terror other than sending several hundred thousand troops back to Iraq. But, Obama is averse to using troops on the ground, so he sits back and does…almost nothing. The Russians move in and now they’ve accomplished in days what Obama failed to do in over a year, the Russians have taken out almost a fourth of ISIS Command and Control and regained much territory. Now they are moving their special forces in to secure their gains. The many failures of Obama’s leadership in the Middle East and Europe are nothing short of stupefying and he doesn’t see it! He thinks he’s the smartest man in America. So, here we go into his final year and the nation is still struggling from the Great Depression. The nation is financially floundering due to the most prolonged recession recovery in our history – we can’t get our footing because of Obama’s gross fiscal mismanagement.
“I would say the U.S.’s influence and prestige and respect in the world is probably lower than it was six or seven years ago,” Jimmy Carter
Under Obama we’ve distanced our allies, embolden our enemies and in short, created a mess of the Middle East. But in Obama’s way of thinking, he’s done a great job and he believes he would win reelection again, if he could run! I don’t know how else to say it, this is mental illness folks. He’s narcissistic, delusional and pathological. He should not be sitting in the White House. And based on this, one might conclude that over half the voters in America aren’t of too sound a mind either, or they’re just stupid.
STEVE KROFT, CBS NEWS: “If you were skeptical of the program to find and identify, train and equip moderate Syrians, why did you go through the program?”
PRESIDENT OBAMA: “Well, because part of what we have to do here, Steve, is to try different things. Because we also have partners on the ground that are invested and interested in seeing some sort of resolution to this problem.”
Here’s a brief summary of what Dr. Charles Krauthammer thought about the ’60 Minutes’ interview: “We are in a dangerous spot when our president is delusional about what’s happening in the world.” He said ‘the community of nations’ will take on ISIS, but the community of nations doesn’t exist. This is an adolescent fantasy! This is a president who is living on a different planet, but it’s not harmless because people are getting killed. They are the people who trusted us and who were dependent on us. The president is delusional and thinks he is actually winning in this area. I cannot imagine what they are thinking in the capitals of the world!”
But Jack, he would be re-elected.
Lordy, I would love to witness an Obama-Trump contest … a figurative slaughter of the very first magnitude.
I mean, come on … you haven’t got anybody he couldn’t make look an utter fool.
Libby: Yes, they are all flawed people, but they also come with some decent assets. Currently our 3 front runners are political outsiders, which is very telling about the state of things in Washington. I grant you, Obama could very well beat any of them in a 1 on 1 debate at this moment in time. However, I think at least three or four of the top ten and maybe more, could crush him on leadership. And what counts more a good debater or a good leader? Abe Lincoln was fond of saying people like Obama are “All hat and no cattle.” However, the most frustrating problem we face as Americans is, too many voters don’t look at politics very deep or pragmatically. They are shallow and view things more emotionally. That plays right into Obama’s strong hand. He’s a good talker, so despite all his horrible blunders, scandals, broken promises and misstatements, he can get away with it! The low information voter still places too much value on empty words and not nearly enough on accountability and deeds.
One look at Obama’s record should be enough to convince a voter, a-n-y-o-n-e else but Obama and by extension that means not Hillary, Biden or Bernie. We need a change and I think its time to see what an outsider can do….and I don’t mean Trump.
If Libby is correct we might as well turn out the lights…it’s over. America is over. The great experiment in freedom and self-determination will have been abandoned to big daddy (tyrannical) leadership disguised as “help.”
I’m not convinced she’s right.
Given the way Putin has stepped into the void I have to wonder again what Obummer meant when he said he’d “have more flexibility” after he was re-elected. Was he talking about flexibility in helping to make the communist Putin the number one power leader (Even if by illusion) in the world? All the little communist dictators in south of our borders and in Africa, and Asia would be thrilled, wouldn’t they? Obama would be secretly thrilled to have brought down the white privileged Western leader, America and her allies. It was the dream from his father.
This person is a maniac in the same destructive mold of tyrants that have come before him. The people who still think he’s Mr. Wonderful are as delusional as any that have lost their freedoms due to stupidity, inattentiveness, and apathy. If our candidates could be made to “look a fool,” in the eyes of most voters, as Libby suggests, then, I repeat, it’s over for America.
And Libby? It’s pretty easy for a fool to fool the people when they are as vapid as are his many sycophantic followers.
Tina, I’ve said it before, and must say it again … take a pill … and curb the hyperbole.
Or …
Tell us all about how you, personally, have had your individual liberties trammeled by the O-Man. Come on … let’s hear it.
And as for this:
“… in helping to make the communist Putin the number one power leader ….”
You don’t really believe that, do you? You can’t. It’s absurd. And any assertion that we should take him on, militarily … when all we have to do is sit back and wait for him to bankrupt his nation … would be reckless, and juvenile, and another reason why I am glad that the Shrub is looooong gone.
Healthcare: I could not keep one of my doctors. He retired citing Obamacare as his reason.
Another left private practice because of Obamacare, although I can still see him. His new hospital affiliation reminds me of the monopolies being forced by this law. My choices have been and will be narrowed.
The premiums I pay for employees were already high in California. I understand they may go up this year.
Thanks to Obamacare I now have much more paperwork to fill out with more personal questions to answer. (What about the trees?) My personal information is easier to access by anyone.
Business and economy: I have remained in business for my employees. Had the economy grown at even as much as 3% (3,5% to 4% would have been better) my prospects for retirement, and jobs for my employees, would have been better. My ability to increase salaries (Other than those forced by the state) has been nil.
Inflation, they say, has been held in check. However, prices have gone up limiting the pursuit of happiness for me and family members.
The debt, something you screeched about under Bush, has doubled under Obama putting all of us in a precarious financial reality and my children and grandchildren in economic chains for the rest of their lives (Unless we get needed reforms.)
Members of my political party and journalists were targeted by the IRS prior to the last election. Even though I was not a direct victim I take this breach of the public trust and interference in an election personally, as all Americans should.
Regulations: I paid more for my tax prep this year because of new regulations. My CPA attended 3 seminars (One is usually sufficient) because of the confusion, even tax experts were flummoxed.
I’m sure I could think of more but it’s late so I will leave you with an answer regarding my statement about Putin.
Libby, I know how much you love to look down on me from that high imperious perch but I clearly wrote, “(Even if by illusion) in that sentence. Nowhere did I imply that economically Putin is strong nor did I say that we should “take him on” militarily.
My point was, and remains, that we didn’t have to become such a weak weenie nation as we have under the leadership, and I use the term loosely, Of BH Obummer.
You cannot dispute the fact that Obama has basically surrendered the stage, leading from behind.
I’m sorry your doctor is retiring, but as you do still have options, doctor-wise, I would have to say that you are inconvenienced, rather than trammeled upon.
Likewise with the premiums and paperwork. One of the many things wrong with the previous set-up, healthcare-wise, was that is was possible for citizens to insulate themselves from the real costs (while others had nothing to insulate themselves from). Not not more. And again, as you do still have access to healthcare, you can’t really call yourself trammeled upon.
This: “The debt, something you screeched about under Bush, has doubled under Obama ….” is factually incorrect and I will waste no time upon it.
I must also remind you that your complaints about our sad economy are rooted in the doings of the previous administration. Furthermore, if you and your family are looking for happiness in material possession, you are doomed to eternal disappointment. You will never have all the money you want to buy all the things you want. If you’d take my advice and cut that damned cable, you’d likely discover that you don’t really want most of the things you thought you did.
And … you’d be complaining about your taxes no matter who was in office.
So, I must conclude that your personal liberties are in reasonably good shape. You simply refuse the sensible options.
I would love to see a Cruz vs. Obama debate. Of course, conservatives would go home believing Cruz won and liberals would believe Obama won and all the NFL fans would shrug their shoulders after five minutes and change the channel.
What democrats are missing is that 8 years of Obama has soured voters on the democrat party. The GOP congressional landslide 2 years ago was evidence of it. Hillary is losing to every GOP candidate now in polls and Joe “foot in mouth” Biden is who they think will save their chances.
Now, anything can happen. Republicans are notorious for snatching a defeat from the jaws of victory (Romney’s third debate with BO comes to mind). Still, I would predict that we will elect a new Republican President and that they will be able to partner with the Republican Congress and bring about a new era of economic prosperity. America’s economy has gone through some pretty lean times that toughened up our business sector, they’re just waiting for someone to remove the shackles of government restraint and let them create some jobs!
A Republican President will do just that.
To the anonymous Steve —
It will be a cold day in hell that I vote for Trump.
One of the key things that the GOP Congress has done right is to block Obama from using legislation to control people, which explains why he has resorted to all these illegal Executive Orders. Orders that will be dismissed as soon as a non-democrat is elected to the White House.
Re: “President Obama speaks of something that doesn’t exist! There’s no community of nations and what’s worse, he’s saying that Sunni Muslims must defeat a group that has pledged to deliver death and destruction to America.”
Elect a person whose only real credentials are as “community organizer” and this is what you get. A “community of nations” fantasy. To anyone who might assert that the UN is a “community of nations”, get a clue.
So, Jack, who do you mean?
Carly? With her stellar business acumen and her degree in medieval history?
Marco? With his flowery rhetoric not-quite-covering a pretty callous world-view?
Uh, uh … you don’t want Trump …
Uh, Cruz is out, right? Christie’s out? Perry’s out.
Uh … Carson? I’m sure he’s a splendid neurosurgeon but, politically, he’s a wing-nut, and could never secure any sort of majority.
Jeb? I’m sure he’ll tell us he has no intention of fomenting WWIII, but there’s not a soul with brains in this country who’d believe him. We’ll just have to see how many of those there are.
Libby, the bar is set so low now almost anyone can step over it.
Last night’s Talking Points on O’Reilly says the same, with a few variances. Worth a read . . . .
http://www.billoreilly.com/b/President-Obama-Reveals-Himself/771312184882774239.html
Arrogance, narcissism and stupidity have never been more prominent in the white house until now.
Well, at least in our lifetimes. I would point out Andrew Jackson.
Libby’s hypothetical about an Obama re-election is moot since it could never be proven. Therefore her assertion amounts to exactly what 99.9999% of the left typically proclaim. Complete bullshit.
Evidently Libby has not been following the Rat party debate circus. Here is but one article —
Dem infighting erupts on eve of first presidential debate

Jack, I really don’t understand your beef with Obama’s phrase “community of nations.” It’s a common phrase. Bush 1 used it, and probably more, though this only took me fifteen seconds on Google:
http://www.presidency.ucsb.edu/ws/?pid=18883
Was Bush delusional too when he referred to the community of nations?
Tina: “Given the way Putin has stepped into the void I have to wonder again what Obummer meant when he said he’d “have more flexibility” after he was re-elected. It was the dream from his father.”
This is not only wrong, this is crazy. You have never read “Dreams from My Father” and you have no idea what it was about; you don’t even understand that the title is meant to be ironic. Extremely poor showing.
Jack, I really don’t understand your beef with Obama’s phrase “community of nations.”
Chris, the first person to recognize this was Dr. Charles Krauthammer, but I strongly agree with him. Obama was talking about a community of 60 nations, there is no 60 nation community doing anything about ISIS or Syria. Yes, he said 60, but there is no such number. There is no such community going after ISIS, this is a delusion and I am thinking Obama is crazy. That’s my beef and I suppose it was the beef Dr. Krauthammer had and a number of other political notables since then. This is serious Chris, and you are not seeing it.
Chris I checked your link. I’m thinking that you really had to dig to find something with the words community and nations in it. This goes back to a speech Geo. Bush senior gave at the United Nations and he spoke of a community of nations in the general sense, however that is hardly the same as Obama thinking we have a community of nations taking on ISIS. We’ve got the Russians, a few Iranians, the Syrian Army and a few air strikes from the USAF, that’s about it. Obama is nuts.
Ditto.
Chris you apparently have no idea that the reference is meant to be sarcastic.
Which reference, Tina? Your reference to “Dreams from My Father?” That’s not sarcasm, that’s misrepresentation.
I referred to the title Chris, not the content of the book. As you said I have not read the book; wouldn’t care to. It was likely written by the domestic terrorist, Bill Ayers anyway. (A low man who later became a big fish in education)
“Obama’s Father and Kenyan Anti-Colonialism” – CS Monitor:
See also The American Spectator:
And then there’s this from the Guardian:
The sarcasm is meant to show my contempt for Obama’s ideology. Do you get it now?
Yes, Bush was delusional. So is Obama. And your point is?
Well, points for consistency, Pie.
Blow me, water boy.
Classy as ever.
Evidently Obama’s water boy Chris does not think Obama is delusional. Surprise, surprise!
Let us get something straight. Bush went with what he thought were the best analysts. Obama proceeds with a personal, pathological delusion. Dr. Charles Krauthammer is correct and the pathetic attempt at deflection by Chris is just that, pathetic.
