ISIS Training Pilots for Terror Missions

Posted by Tina

On another front in the war Frontpage Magazine reports:

ISIS is now training pilots for future terrorist missions on an imported flight simulator in Libya, according to Arabic media reports citing Libyan and Egyptian military officials.

The flight simulator, apparently imported in October, is now located in the former Qaddafi stronghold of Sirte, about halfway between Benghazi and Tripoli. …

…Last year, ISIS fighters captured two Air Force bases in Central Syria, Tabqa and Kshesh, and posed for photographs with Syrian Air Force MiG 19s and MiG 21s. ISIS subsequently released a propaganda video, purporting to show its pilots flying a former Syrian military jet, most likely a Czech L-39 “Albatross” jet trainer. …

… There have been persistent reports that ISIS-affiliated groups in Libya commandeered former Libyan Airlines commercial jets last year. The initial reports mentioned eleven or twelve missing aircraft.

While some of those aircraft have turned up since, either whole or in pieces, others remain missing.

We’ve come full circle and we are once again not connecting the dots.

Off Topic — Trump is right. Police say parts of Britain are no-go areas due to ISIS radicalisation

I expect this to derided by the usual sneering and insulting left-wing scold because the sources are two British tabloids, but I really do not care what that jerk thinks. So pound away, Chris, then go pound sand. Just because a story appears in a tabloid format newspaper does not mean the story is false in part or in whole.

    The Express writes —

During a tub thumping speech to party activists he also took a swipe at Britain, saying: “We have places in London and other places that are so radicalised that police are afraid for their own lives.”

His comments were widely derided by British politicians including David Cameron, who called them “divisive, unhelpful and quite simply wrong”.

The Metropolitan Police also issued a withering statement saying Mr Trump “could not be more wrong” whilst London Mayor Boris Johnson said his claims were “utter nonsense”.

But they have today been fatally undermined by members of the rank and file, who have said that fear of Islamist extremism within Britain’s police is widespread despite the protestations of the authorities. [Emphasis mine.]

In this instance he (Trump) isn’t wrong. Our political leaders are best either ill-informed or simply being disingenuous.

    The Daily Mail writes —

Home Secretary Theresa May tonight rejected Mr Trump’s claims, insisting: ‘The police in London are not afraid to go out and police the streets.’

David Cameron, Jeremy Corbyn, Nicola Sturgeon, Boris Johnson and even Scotland Yard issued strongly-worded condemnation of the outspoken businessman after he claimed: ‘We have places in London and other places that are so radicalised that police are afraid for their own lives.’

Mr Johnson, the Mayor of London said Mr Trump was speaking ‘utter nonsense’ and openly mocked the American, adding: ‘The only reason I wouldn’t go to some parts of New York is the real risk of meeting Donald Trump.’

    My take —

There are “no-go” zones and/or nearly no-go zones in the UK. Muslims there live in largely cloistered, schismatic communities and refuse to assimilate. In fact, the UK has allowed Sharia law to be practiced in those communities and has gone further to introduce Sharia into the UK legal system.

The police officers on the street speak anonymously because they fear being chastised and ruining any chance for advancement, or sacked the power structure. It would be nice to see some brave souls buck the system and speak out without being anonymous. The UK must have a police associations to turn to that could protect their jobs even if any chance of advancement would be trashed by government officials.

UK authorities are have bent over backwards to appease Islam. They are either turning a blind eye to what is actually happening in the streets or are so cowed by Muslims that they disavow any knowledge of what is actually going on. There is a third possibility — the government actually thinks that appeasing Islam an disavowing any cultural and societal problems it brings with it is the best policy for assimilation.

One police officer accuses the government of being “disingenuous.” He must be wrong, no politician or government bureaucrat has ever been disingenuous.

I question the wisdom of the UK policies towards Islam.

Don’t you love weenie statements like that of Home Secretary Theresa May: ‘The police in London are not afraid to go out and police the streets.’

Nobody said they were. The police said they were reluctant or unable to go into Muslim controlled areas. Politicians and bureaucrats rarely speak like The Donald…it may be blunt talk but it isn’t political or PC jargon.

    AUUUUGH!
    Corrections to the above —
“or sacked the power structure” should have read “or sacked by the power structure”
“must have a police associations” should have read “must have police associations”
“UK authorities are have bent” should have read “UK authorities have bent”

    Addenda —

Well, that was a giant flub. Also in the above a whole section of officer comments from the Express is missing. I am going to have to stick to composing in another editor and then copy and paste into the comment window. Here are some of the officer statements the Express reported …

One serving officer in west London said: “Islamification has and is occurring. You have to have extra vigilance in certain parts when you are working.”

When I was a teenage lad in Burnley there were no go white areas. This is the case still nationally, including London where you have to have extra vigilance in certain parts when you are working.

Another officer with Lancashire police said that officers have to “contact local community leaders to get their permission” before they are allowed to patrol in Muslim areas of Preston.

And a policeman posted in Yorkshire said police top brass were so afraid of potential terrorist attacks he had been ordered not to wear police uniform in his own patrol car.
