Roger Simon wrote today about the fate of our nation and the billionaires backing the radical left organization, Moveon.org. Read his excellent article, here. Meanwhile his conclusion is well worth posting:
“…until groups like MoveOn.Org, #BlackLivesMatter and the billionaires that support them learn to respect that founding fundamental pillar of our nation, the First Amendment, I reject every word that comes out of their mouths and every act they perform. They are, to put it bluntly, enemies of the state.
Mr. Simon speaks with a clear voice.
“The bright shining lie of our time was when Obama told us at that now long ago Democratic Convention that America was not red and blue states but the United States of America. Was that ever a bait-and-switch?! From the moment he was inaugurated, Obama has acted in word and deed to divide us. Trump follows Obama as the night the day.”
Merely one of many bright shining lies.
Whereas Trump and his billions (not to mention the Koch brothers) are wrecking no havoc at all. You people crack me up.
If you can have your billionaires, we can have ours.
Unless your really are saying we can’t, in which case, you really are a bunch of totalitarian hoo-hays, aren’t you?
Trump is funding his own campaign…can’t say the same for Hillary. And old Bernie is such a wiz-bang candidate that outside of his political career he was an activist radical. Meanwhile the organization (supposedly non-profit) that was formed for Hillary is now backing Bernie with the help of three billionaire donors.
The Koch brothers have chosen to sit out the primaries. They may do the same in a Hillary/Trump race for the presidency.
Who can blame them, so much of this “influence” money will be spent flushing toilets.
Money doesn’t buy elections. (It does create a lot of havoc and mayhem) Soros lost a bundle when Hillary was beaten by Obama.
Libby dear, please don’t act like you just came to the party, you’ve had your billionaires for decades.
Totalitarian?
(Smirk) Please name the totalitarian policies the Republican Party favors, hoo-hay doesn’t quite cut it.
Well, if now you’re saying money doesn’t buy influence, why did you re-post Simon in the first place?
I wrote money doesn’t buy “elections.”
It buys “influence” but there are never any guarantees. Soros lost a lot when Hillary lost. Right wing money folks lost when Obama won.
I posted the quote because it defends the first amendment. The groups he names, and their supporters, don’t and that needs to be repeated.
How does the opposition getting their message out prevent you from promoting yours?
Again, you seem to object to equal access.
If only you get access, that’s totalitarian.
Says the person who gets free access to Post Scripts. It is one thing to be an enemy of the state and another to be an enemy of reason and reality.
“How does the opposition getting their message out prevent you from promoting yours?”
It doesn’t…never said it did. They can put out their message all day long. Do what Trump did, hire a hall and invite people to come hear the message. Or, stand on a soap box on the corner and yammer on.
The activists in Chicago were not about “getting their message out.” They were about robbing Trump and his supporters of the opportunity to peacefully assemble and hear Trumps message. That’s not looking for equal access; that is mayhem and disruption, a totalitarian tactic. Fascists only allow a single message…theirs!
Trump is also paying to be in these places. So this group of militant agitators might have been stepping on property rights as well.

If Trump supporters were peaceful, we’d let this slide. But they’re not, are they?
