Walter Williams weighs in on conditions in the black community that have given rise to Black Lives Matter and the Obama administrations approach to problems of race. I love this man. He deftly dives beneath the drama and rhetoric to get to the root of the problem as well as the common sense solution. I’ll tease you with an excerpt:
The primary victims of lawlessness are black people. To address this problem and most others, black people should ignore the liberal agenda. If civil authorities will not do their job of creating a safe environment, then black people should take the initiative. One example comes to mind. In 1988, at the request of residents, Black Muslims began to patrol Mayfair Mansions, a drug-infested, gang-ridden, unsafe Washington, D.C., housing project. The gangs and drug lords left. The Nation of Islam sentinels were not deterred by the wishes of politicians and the American Civil Liberties Union. They didn’t feel obliged to give kid glove treatment to criminals.
Read the article and gain in wisdom from a well seasoned and experienced black scholar, author and journalist…the good professor can educate on the economy as well…seek him out!
Walter Williams, an outstanding human being.
A most authentic human being!

Thanks for sharing that Dewey…it’s obvious that the left’s propaganda is working in our schools, in social media, and even in guilt ridden American homes.
Now tell me…what exactly does making this kid feel guilty do for anyone?
Will it make any person of color more determined to work hard in school and stay out of trouble? Will it open any doors of opportunity? Will it magically give confidence to someone of low self-esteem?
This is a free country. People from all over the world, of all different races, have cone here with NOTHING and succeeded. Their children have attended our schools and gone on to become successes as well. Explain that!
And if white people are so damned privileged, how do you explain the poor white folks living in Appalachia or the very successful people of color who live in gated communities and are now worth millions? How do you explain the doctors, lawyers, business owners, sports figures, executives, movie stars, real estate brokers, blue collar workers…how do you explain it?
My mother in law was born in a house with a dirt floor. My mom went hungry for days at a time as a kid. Not all white people are “born to privilege” nor do we all manage to live privileged lives. Most of us are just happy to live in a free country with all of the opportunity it affords all people who are willing to work and strive for what they want.
You who complain maybe have too much time on your hands…or maybe you just need to grow up because you’ve depended on someone else to fix things a little too often. Or maybe you just have a giant chip on your shoulder!
Walter Williams lived at a time in America that was much tougher for blacks and he is a distinguished professor, writer, author, and occasional radio host. How did he do it if America is guilty of white privilege?
There’s a very big lie at the bottom of this ridiculous, bigoted accusation. Are you big enough to admit it?
