Out of many one, this is what made our country great and it’s why we acknowledge it on the dollar, “e pluribus Unum.”
Anyone who says diversity made our country great is simply wrong. The American Indian had a lot of cultural diversity, given all the tribes. But, that didn’t get them very far did it? The first time a major challenge came along they tumbled like dominoes.
Unity is far stronger than diversity – history proves it!
History also proves that failure to assimilate is clearly dangerous, because it replaces what exists in the home culture with the invaders preference. Anyone… coming here who is not willing to subordinate their former culture to ours and then embrace American idealism would be better served to stay home, we don’t need them. Sorry, but it’s the truth.
Does this mean we shouldn’t have a little Saigon or China Town? No, not at all. We should celebrate and be proud of our heritage and diversity, but we should not let it dominate the American culture. That’s where we get into trouble! We must protect our idealism for equality, liberty and minimal government intrusion into our daily lives. Immigrants who see women as property, who would replace the Constitution with Sharia Law don’t fit in here.
Democrats cater to immigrants for votes, but packing too many of one culture into a voting district for the sole purpose of advancing that one culture is not the America way. It does not promote assimilation, it promotes division and ranker. Even if the minority sees some temporary advantage, the end product is always bad for America.
The democrats have been creating divisions far worse than gerrymandering political districts, which they are famous for. They’ve pitted rich against the poor, college liberals against conservatives, blacks against whites, blacks against cops, Indians against industry and Immigrants against average Americans, to name but a few. These are almost treasonous tactics designed to gain some sort of political advantage for the party. But at what cost? The cost of what is right and good for America? But, in terms of a fiscal cost, it’s easier to measure. They democrats have created massive debt and virtually bankrupted the nation in the process of using giveaways to buy votes. That’s about as dishonest as it comes. It’s also a foolish pyramid scheme where America ultimately fails under the debt load this party of dopes has created to buy power.
Will the 2016 election serve as a wake-up call to the democratic party to reform and abandon all their low schemes, like their tax & spend vote buying gimmicks? My guess is, probably not. This is what they do – this is what they’ve always done. The democrat party is too corrupt and too controlled by fringe elements to change. Aside from outright corrupt practices, the democrat party suffered major setbacks this time because they have been promoting minority wants over majority needs and it finally caught up with them! The dems are doing some soul searching now, but they are so far gone they’re not going to figure out they lost because of who they are!
This is why I have concluded that the country would be better off without the democrats! Let them disband and fade into history. They’ve been a problem for the country since their early days when they supported slavery. I think we have enough of them and their destruction, don’t you?
I have no problem with immigrants bringing their culture with them — especially cuisine! — as long as they are not contrary to our ideals of freedom and our Constitution and swear the oath. The problem is that Democrats are contrary to our ideals of freedom and our Constitution and any oath they make to protect and uphold is worthless.
Jack, a great post. But to be honest, the Democratic Party, has a “boot camp” of its own. It’s called the college system. Getting rid of the Far Left Professors, and replacing them with professors that will teach our young adults, history, civics, math, and science before Politics will greatly benefit this Country.
That is the real system that needs to addressed. Turn our colleges back into places of higher learning instead of being indoctrination camps that begin their training with Talking Points 101 and The Art of Protesting 101A. If it were up to me personally, I would ship every Progressive Liberal over to Syria and then sit back and watch them cry, beg, scream, and claw at the immigration and U.S. Border checkpoints to get back into our Country!

If there is a problem with progressive professors, it is that they don’t dispute the stances taken by students that only the politically correct have the right to be heard; or at least they don’t do so frequently enough.
