Trump held a rally in Florida on Saturday….
As expected, no matter what Trump said negative reporting would follow. Those who despise him make up their minds about what he’s communicating even before he opens his mouth…he’s just a racist xenophobe and that’s that. Likewise, his family members come under attack, despite past calls that the president’s family should be left alone. President Trump isn’t standing for fake news. Apparently Melania isn’t either. The big dog shows his teeth, while his mate seeks blessings from above. Call it a two pronged strategy to inspire higher levels of integrity in the press.
On Saturday Trump was discussing the turmoil and increased crime in European countries following the surge of refugees into nations like Germany, Sweden, and France. Trump:
“We’ve got to keep our country safe,” he said. “You look at what’s happening in Germany. You look at what’s happening last night in Sweden. Sweden, who would believe this? Sweden. They took in large numbers. They’re having problems like they never thought possible. You look at what’s happening in Brussels. You look at what’s happening all over the world. Take a look at Nice. Take a look at Paris.”
Trump was bashed for “misleading the people” in his remarks about Sweden. Reporters assumed he was referring to a terror attack the night before. Why would they make this assumption? Did they even bother to get a transcript of his remarks?
The President was not talking about a terror attack and certainly not about an attack that never happened. But the assumption and speculation (fake news) would make Trump look “unqualified” to be president and perhaps that was the intent. Never fear, the President explained (Tweet) that his remarks followed a report by Ami Horowitz on Tucker Carlson’s show Friday night. Horowitz asserts that Swedish officials are in denial about the negative effects of the refugee surge, including the fact that costly efforts to integrate refugees into Swedish culture simply have not worked. President Trump should be praised for using his position to bring awareness to our people. We can learn from the experiences of others. Depending on the ultimate fate of Europe, we could become the sole refuge of freedom in the future. The warning is not about refugees per se but about radicals among the refugees who are determined to use their voices and influence to install Islamic regions in the countries they invade under the cover of refugee status. The future of our free and open society depends on awareness about this very real and very dangerous problem. While Swedish officials remain dedicated to their open borders policy, and our media continues to play an activist political game, our President is serving the people, no matter how difficult to believe the message may seem.
The very gracious Melania apparently decided to make a statement of her own on Saturday when she chose to open the event with The Lord’s Prayer. Her decision garnered immediate derision on social media with activists “mocking her accent and religion and branding her everything from a hostage to a whore – all for the secular offense of reciting “The Lord’s Prayer.” One tweeter went “dictator” postal:
Melania starts the dictatorship rally with the Lord’s Prayer? NOT EVERY AMERICAN IS CHRISTIAN!!!! Country over party.
No, it wasn’t Dewey, unless his Twitter handle is @JaimePrimak. it could be one of his comrades. Do these intolerant ungracious people understand anything about this nations history or the meaning of freedom or tolerance? Apparently not. We have space for Islamic calls to prayer everywhere including in the halls of government, schools, and businesses but the First Lady’s choice of prayer at a rally is not to be tolerated. Remarkable and remarkably ignorant!
Fortunately the citizens that support the President and First lady were enthusiastic during the rally and very supportive of the way the pair are asserting the opinions and rights of many Americans whose voices have been blunted, criticized, violently protested and ignored for far too long.

Because that’s the most rational interpretation of his words? When someone refers to something that happened somewhere last night…we assume they mean something that happened somewhere last night. We don’t assume they mean they watched something on TV last night about something happening somewhere.
Trump is an unclear communicator because he rarely knows what he is going to say before he says it. You may be getting his intended message, but the majority of Americans aren’t. In fact I’d go further and say his message isn’t designed for the majority of Americans, but for the minority who still enjoy being conned by him.
Interesting, Brian speaks for the majority of Americans. That is a pretty good trick. I wonder how he does it.
I don’t speak for them, but I do read polls showing that most Americans disapprove of his performance so far.
Trump has been criticized by these reporters for his willingness to name Islamic terrorists and you think it’s rational for them to make this leap when he has not used these words? Astounding! That you think so adds weight to my argument that the media seeks to make him look unqualified.
You don’t know what most Americans think at any given moment but your remarks certainly reflects the arrogant attitude of most of you on the left which also ASSumes majority opinions are always in sink with their own. The last three election cycles suggest otherwise.

He has? I haven’t seen this. I have seen him criticized for his administration making up Islamic terrorist attacks, such as claiming that Americans who were killed in Australia were victims of such when the police and parents say they were not.

And I’m not assuming that the majority doesn’t like Trump. I’m basing that on the polls. The last election cycle doesn’t prove that the majority likes Trump, as the majority did not vote for him.

He is definitely a sexist, that one isn’t even arguable given his treatment of women. I haven’t seen much evidence that he’s a racist, though he appealed to them pretty strongly with his comments about Mexicans. I also haven’t seen any evidence that he is homophobic or transphobic, and in fact he seems less hostile to these groups than many other Republicans. Islamophobic? He spread the lie that he saw thousands cheer 9/11 in New Jersey, said that Mrs. Kahn “probably wasn’t allowed to speak,” and routinely inflates and exaggerates the scope of Islamic terror, to the point where he has called events Islamic terror that were in fact not. I think the label “Islamophobic” is fair.
He isn’t a sexist. He can be a rude and crude jerk, but Trump is not sexist. His hiring practices belie that. The “Islamophobic” label is a load of nonsense too and a symptom of the absurd politically correct disease of phobia over “Islamophobia.”
Hiring women does not give one a pass for constantly making sexist remarks. Don’t act like you haven’t heard them.
And whether or not you like the term “Islamophobia,” you cannot deny that claiming he saw thousands of Muslims cheering 9/11 in New Jersey was a lie meant to demonize Muslims. You can’t deny that saying “maybe she wasn’t allowed to speak” about Mrs. Khan wasn’t a bigoted stereotype.

Trumps remark about Mrs. Khan could be seen as respectful. Given the religions known restrictions on women and some Muslims adherence to those restrictions he was not about to assume she would.

Since he has been in office, President Trumps primary goal has been to rebuild America. President Trump is looking out for all Americans, and our country, including those that do not support him

Trumps current speech patterns are going to take some getting use to, but it refreshing to hear a elected tell it like it is, and cut the PC BS.
Yes Trump could have said something like “as I heard it reported last night regarding Sweden’s problems”, that would have made this a non issue, but he misspoke. Yes it was a error, but it is nothing as far as I am concerned when compared to Obama who should have stood upright like a POTUS instead of bowing and asking for forgiveness in Americas name.

Trump is a public figure but not a trained public speaker. He thinks very fast and sometimes speaks in incomplete sentences, especially at an event like a rally.
He would be wise to learn to slow his thought processes down. If all was well in the world polish might be high on his priority list…and mine. But all is not well in the world. The world he inherited is a real mess and it will take dedication and determination to repair and restore things to better function.
I prefer he concentrated on fixing the tax code, repealing and replacing Obamacare, getting criminal aliens out of our country and improving conditions at the border and in our immigration system. I prefer he concentrate on ending ISIS and, apparently, a suddenly stronger al Qaeda. I prefer he concentrate on renegotiating trade deals and creating conditions that get our citizens working again!
Harold the left loved LBJ, a big, crude, blow hard kinda guy from Texas. Even though they turned on him because of Vietnam they still admire the man. Selective outrage is a game they play. Americans are waking up to the game. Watching as businesses die and being out of work for more than a year will do that.

My thoughts? Well, as nothing of any moment had happened in Sweden the night before, I think we were all correct to go … huh? This is just … yet more … of the man spouting off the top of his head stuff he did not understand correctly in the first place. That is extremely irresponsible, particularly in a President.
