According to David Asher who served under Gen. John Allen at the Defense and State Departments, the Obama administration “systematically disbanded law enforcement investigative units across the federal government “targeting the terrorism financing operations of Iran, Hezbollah, and Venezuela in the lead-up to and during the nuclear negotiations with Tehran.” The revelation came in testimony before the House Foreign Affairs Committee on Thursday.
The result of this perilous move is the loss of experienced intelligence and law enforcement personnel and a squandered opportunity in the fight against Radical Islamic terrorism. Susan Crabtree at the Free Beacon :
The United States squandered the chance “at a very low financial cost” to take apart Hezbollah’s finances, its global organization, and the Iran proxy’s ability to “readily terrorize us, victimize us, and run a criminal network through our shores, inside our banking systems—and in partnership with the world’s foremost drug cartels—target our state and society,” he said.
“We lost much of the altitude we had gained in our global effort, and many aspects including key personnel, who were reassigned, budgets that were slashed—many key elements of the investigations that were underway were undermined,” he said.
“Today we have to deal with the legacy of that and how we rebuild this capability—knowing that you can have a nuclear deal with Iran and you can contain and disrupt their illicit activities,” he continued.
The decision was a “mix of tragedy and travesty combined with a seriously misguided turn of policy that resulted in no strategic gain and a serious miscarriage of justice,” he said.
So let me get this straight. Obama made a (very bad) deal with Iran giving them access to billions, knowing that Iran financially sponsors terrorist activities, and at the same time severely compromised and disrupted our security efforts to dusrupt terror financing? To what end, other than to feed his ego or to aid the enemy…or both?
I ask again…whose side was he on? Certainly not the side of the many Muslims who are forced to live under the brutality and terror riddled tyranny of Iran and those they support.

As more info about the shenanigans Obumble and his minions pulled, the more we can thank voters for electing TheDonald. Had $hrilLIARy gained the white house, Comey’s politicalization of the FBI, Obumble spying on citizens, Loretta Lynch’s playing favorites with $hrilLIARy would have been swept under the rug and such activities continued unabated.
A couple of days ago, Obumble minion Valerie Jarret was claiming that “Trump abdicated US role as ‘Beacon of Hope’ with Paris Accord exit.” I submit that the US abandoned any such beacon as soon as Obumble entered the white house. And TheDonald is trying to re-light it.
Obumble goes down in history not only as a serial liar but as a complete and total failure, both domestically and internationally.

Totally agree. The daily attacks by the Dems against anything and everything Trump does and says are the acts of a leaderless panicked party that sees the continued loss of power and their very existence.
Republicans MUST join together to form a united union to fend off the attacks and develop an offensive plan. If they don’t the Independent party’s membership will grow from former members from both parties.
