An area near Calexico, California is one of the most porous in our nation when it comes to illegal border crossings and trafficking. The security fence in this area was constructed in 1990’s and hasn’t done much to stop the illegal activity in the area. But border security agents will soon get some help in this regard. The Department of Homeland Security has issued a waiver that will allow for the construction of a more substantial wall to go forward expeditiously!

This waiver is pursuant to authority granted to the Secretary of Homeland Security by Congress and covers a variety of environmental, natural resource, and land management laws. … (it) covers certain border infrastructure projects in the United States Border Patrol’s El Centro Sector, a critical sector for border security. In fiscal year 2016 alone, the United States Border Patrol apprehended more than 19,400 undocumented immigrants and seized approximately 2,899 pounds of marijuana and approximately 126 pounds of cocaine in the El Centro Sector. … Congress funded the project in the FY 2017 DHS Appropriations Act. … DHS has been coordinating and consulting — and intends to continue doing so — with other federal and state resource agencies to ensure impacts to the environment, wildlife, and cultural and historic artifacts are analyzed and minimized, to the extent possible.
The fat (activist) bureaucracy in DC and at the state level often cause long costly delays in infrastructure and other construction. There is literally no sound reason for such delays. The Trump administration is determined to cut through the unnecessary red tape to get projects completed. That’s a good thing.

Was Pelosi thinking at all when she announced the Left had struck a accord with Trump DACA ?, or was her political BS just more Liberal misinformation, most likely.
Trump released his statement via typical means, (just to get the facts out) to correct Pelosi’s press release as lacking any core of truth, if only to correct such misinformation.
If Pelosi came away from their dinner meeting last evening with a understanding of a such a deal, then maybe she should learn to pay attention to the conversation more , and not just revert to reading a press release to understand it at a later date, however, given she has a tendency to engage her mouth with such misinformation prior to fully understanding the subject this miscue seems normal for Pelosi
