More Failure – Parkland Students Bullied Shooter, Nikolas Cruz.

Posted by Tina

We can add bullying to the long list of local and federal failures associated with the Parkland school shooting. We know because Emma Gonzalez admitted as much in front of thousands at the DC march:

“Since he was in middle school, it was no surprise to anyone who knew him, that he was the shooter. Those talking about how we should have not ostracized him? You didn’t know this kid! OK? We did!”

What exactly does this young person mean by that? Was he shunned, laughed at, derided, pushed around, humiliated. What did they think they saw? Was he shy, quiet, odd, lousy at sports…backwards?

We know the thoughts of Gonzalez and her compatriot David Hogg but consider the thoughts of another Parkland student, Marolo Alvarez:

“He looked like a school shooter,” Alvarez said students used to say about him. … “I could have said something to administrators, that ‘hey this kid gets bullied a lot, please help him, please reach out to him.’ I kind of regret not doing that,” Alvarez said.

“Bullied a lot”…probably for five or six years from kids in an age group that can be incredibly cruel and insensitive. Labeling him a “school shooter type” in this era of crazed teenage behaviors might have been particularly cruel and degrading.

This community need a major overhaul when you consider that school administrators, mental health professionals, police officers, the FBI, and an Obama era federal policy failed the kids at this school. Some parents also failed these kids. But the kids who engaged in relentless acts of cruel exclusion should also take a big long look in the mirror.

Sad.

What’s sad is how easy you are to manipulate. The gun lobby sets out to make villains of these kids, and you just fall right in line. And such feeble arguments! The seemingly eternal “Cruelty of the High School Clique” excuses mass murder? Really?

Libby your remarks reflect your own biases and ill will toward me and nothing else.

      Observation is not excuse making.

Did his parents or the community help him? Apparently not. So…another failure led to this unfortunate evil.

I mean really, it’s the type of comment you might make…you once referred to accused terrorists as “poor boys,” for heaven’s sake.

By the way I am not a member of the NRA and I don’t personally own guns.

I am willing to defend an organization that is vilified by radicals who care more about their agenda than they do the kids or naming and repairing the problems that led to this tragedy.

Love Fox standing up to this man-child bully.

“In a statement to the Times, co-president of Fox News Jack Abernethy said:

“We cannot and will not allow voices to be censored by agenda-driven intimidation efforts…We look forward to having Laura Ingraham back hosting her program next Monday when she returns from spring vacation with her children.”

And just watched the most powerful video on gun control, our culture and the value of life.
