You will be the first to see a new style. I call this style neoimpressionism and the title of the painting is, Black Bottle. On the other hand, I won’t be calling it anything if you don’t like it and into the garbage it will go.
I get all into a painting because it’s my creation and maybe I see things you may not. That sometimes leads me to having an overvalued opinion and that’s why your opinion counts more than mine. So here it is, the “Black Bottle.”
Your opinions please.

Well, impressionism doesn’t do much for me, but here goes.
Needs something for depth perspective. Maybe a chair back at the table, and a vertical wall joint in the back ground.
Too much red outline on everything. Use different colors, or drop it completely. Maybe leave a bit on the shadow side of the bottle as an accent. It would be interesting if you could do a fade on the bottle from dark green on the light side to black. Maybe do a fade on the base so it disappears into the “dark side”.
Yeah, I know. I’m a realist. Does it show?
Thanks guys, appreciate the input. RHT, very well considered and thoughtful comments. Eh, oh well didn’t have much time invested in this one because it was just an experiment… back to the “drawing board.” Pun intended. : ))
Jack: I don’t know impressionism from Hinduism, but RHT447 said a couple of things that sounded right to me. The red outline, especially on the lime, jumped out at me, and I agree that something like a wall joint could give it more depth.
But what do I know? I’m one of those “I don’t know anything about art, but. etc…”
Jack , it is as they say, “in the eye of the beholder”
There is no right or wrong with your work, unless your not satisfied, then and only then do you adjust for your presentation.
Your Black Bottle piece was interesting, not so much for my taste, as I saw it as a bit primitive, but interesting.
Bold outside the box thinking is a great way to explore you growing abilities in this field.
Thanks Harold, RHT, Jack and Pie…I’m still weighing this one. I almost trashed it. We’ll see.
By the way, just to be clear, by “Primitive”, I was referring to to a discipline in art, not your talent to produce the quality of art you do.
