One of the highest death rates from Covids-19 is found on Indian reservations in AZ. This mirrors their higher rate of drug abuse and alcoholism. Similar substance abuse among the so-called homeless has also been a big problem. It should be no surprise that Covids-19 has hit these two groups harder than most others. (See status report below)
Here’s a great place for higher learning. It’s called the School of Hard Knocks, tuition costs varies based on aptitude. There’s only one text book, it’s called, “Lessons from Life.” I like Chapt. 1, You Reap What You Sow. It’s short, but makes a good point. It also links to another good read, Chapt. 5, The Seven Deadly Sins, authored by Pope Gregory and Thomas Aquinas.
Graduates of the above school went on to do great things! The rest…eh, not so much.
Just wondering how many fatalities will occur when free needles are used to inject disinfectants.
Just to be clear, Trump did NOT recommend it, but the MSN has been misrepresenting it as news so often, there’s sure to be those who will pick up on it and once more support Darwin’s theories.
Used to live in Parker, AZ – one of the two towns in the US that is completely surrounded by an Indian Reservation and where non-tribal members can actually own property.
Many abodes on the reservation do not have running water, and families and neighbors congregate together in sweat lodges and community centers.
That’s not an excuse, but it is a way of life on the Rez.
My former sister-in-law still lives on the Navaho Rez with her 3rd husband and kids. They’re not substance abusers, but they know plenty of people who are. She is into a lot of the kooky beliefs about tribal medicines, but its a cultural kind of thing. If that’s what she wants to believe I can’t fault her.
GREAT news!
Firm tests UV light treatment that Trump was mocked for mentioning:
“Aytu BioScience said: “The Healight technology employs proprietary methods of administering intermittent ultraviolet (UV) A light via a novel endotracheal medical device. Pre-clinical findings indicate the technology’s significant impact on eradicating a wide range of viruses and bacteria, inclusive of coronavirus. The data have been the basis of discussions with the FDA for a near-term path to enable human use for the potential treatment of coronavirus in intubated patients in the intensive care unit (ICU).”
