BREAKING NEWS: California has joined up with Arizona and has sworn to enforce federal immigration laws. This is incredible news, almost unbelievable, but it’s really true.

The California law reads virtually the same as Arizona’s, except CA takes it a step further. Our law expressly prohibits sanctuary cities from interfering with the enforcement of immigration laws. Now lets get right to the key points (Note, the entire law is at the end of this article):

Police must cooperate, and there is no wiggle room for sanctuary cities:

“Every law enforcement agency in California shall fully cooperate with the United States Immigration and Naturalization Service regarding any person who is arrested if he or she is suspected of being present in the United States in violation of federal immigration laws.”

The statute then goes on to specify the procedures required by law enforcement officials if they suspect the person is an illegal immigrant:

President Obama has been taken by surprise! He had no idea blue state CA would pass such a law! I wonder if it came up in talks with the AZ Governor?

“Attempt to verify the legal status of such person as a citizen of the United States, an

alien lawfully admitted as a permanent resident, an alien lawfully admitted for a temporary period of time or as an alien who is present in the United States in violation of immigration laws. The verification process may include, but shall not be limited to, questioning the person regarding his or her date and place of birth, and entry into the United States, and demanding documentation to indicate his or her legal status.

Notify the person of his or her apparent status as an alien who is present in the United States in violation of federal immigration laws and inform him or her that, apart from any criminal justice proceedings, he or she must either obtain legal status or leave the United States.”

Sanctuary cites pay close attention to this: “Any legislative, administrative, or other action by a city, county, or other legally authorized local governmental entity with jurisdictional boundaries, or by a law enforcement agency, to prevent or limit the cooperation required by [Section 834b] is expressly prohibited.”

This is no joke, California has approved and passed this tough immigration law. In fact it’s been on the books for many decades. As a police officer I have personally enforced this law and there’s been no profiling problems here. The AZ law is not going to have any problems either. AZ is merely following the law of the land just like Ca is required to do and has done for many years in the past.

The histeria created by those radicals calling for boycotts of AZ is concealing a hidden agenda. This agenda can be found in the speeches by LaRaza and Mecha leaders, and on college campus protest rallies and anywhere where leftist radicals gather. This is all about a power grab. They are using many tactics to gain traction, including creating racial division. They want this power at all costs, even if it will undermine the great progress Americans have made over the last 40 years in the civil rights movement. This is about what they want, never mind the law, the Constitution and our civil rights, this is all about them and virtually whatever it takes to achieve their ends seems to be acceptable behavior.

Their methods, which often turn violent and are wrapped up in lies, are an insult to every patriotic citizen of this country for we are a nation of immigrants and law. In the case of sanctuary cities, they are snubbing our own law. 834(b) of the Penal Code demands we enforce immigration law, READ THE LAW – IT’S VERY CLEAR. These leftist politicians either don’t know or don’t care that they are on the wrong side of the law.

In recent times California has a reputation for looking the other way when it comes to illegal aliens, which is why we are currently overrun with gangs, crime, drugs, welfare and our schools and health services are suffering and in some cases, failing.

In 2007 San Francisco was sued for not complying with state law and failing to report non – citizens for drug arrests. It should be noted that according to reports, the individual who filed the lawsuit was a “70-year old Portola district resident who came to the United States from Nicaragua at the age of 9… said he opposes amnesty for illegal immigrants, especially those who break the law after they get here.

The unwarranted boycotts against Arizona coupled to the big lies like, “this will lead to racial profiling”, or “Arizona police are not sufficiently trained to handle a job the federal authorities should be doing”, is an insult to our intelligence. It’s a deliberate ploy to subvert the law of the land – don’t fall for it! Send a copy of this article to your friends, it’s time to stand up for America by standing up for A. Lets keep our great melting pot melting, and that means controlled immigration that complies with the law. If we don’t and this invasion continues will have more problems from an ethnic sub-culture that is divided by language, customs and with no appreciation or respect for our founding values This will result in a general weakening of the word “United” in our United States. Lets us embrace immigrants, but lets do it the right way – the legal way.
