Occupy Oakland has some cash that they want to be able to access immediately in order to bail out anyone of their supporters who is arrested and jailed. Trouble is it takes up to two weeks to form an unincorporated association and deposit the money in a credit union.
One of life’s little ironies is that these anti-business fools will not be able to escape the corporate world no matter how hard they struggle. How many of them will refuse to live in a house or apartment, give up their ipods, computers and blackberries, or, for that matter, their burgers, fries and designer coffees and beer.
I can see a few of them being willing to run around naked…and sadly I can almost see them ghetting away with it!

James Taranto of the Wall Street Journal has appropriately dubbed Occupy Whatever Dude “Obamaville”.
And what is life like in Obamaville? Well, I can tell you this folks, they are really going after the man! Big time.
Example:
“Coffee cart owner Linda Jenson and hot dog cart operators Letty and Pete Soto said they initially provided free food and drink to demonstrators” at San Diego’s Obamaville encampment, reports Los Angeles’s KNX-AM. “But when they stopped, the protesters became violent”:
According to one city councilman, bodily fluids were used in the attacks.
“Both carts have had items stolen, have had their covers vandalized with markings and graffiti, as well as one of the carts had urine and blood splattered on it,” said Councilman Carl DeMaio. . . .
In addition to the attacks, the vendors also said they recently received death threats.
Get that? DEATH THREATS. Sound familiar? (snip)

Quentin, we refuse to believe (snip) YOU are part of “the 99%.”
It has been put to the Oakland campers that they are decimating the livelihoods provided by downtown Oakland businesses … which were not that lively to begin with.
The hardcore activists will hop trains east, and the merely moronically dispossessed will repair to their freeway overpasses … and again, we shall see.
Libby, you work downtown, did you see any of the protesting or did you have a chance to talk with any of them?
Pepper balls? Is that a new thing? Should we expect more pepper balls from the police now? What is the right way to address pepper balls? Is that Sir or Maam? Could Larry Wahl have pepper balls? Surely Wally Herger has pepper balls because he’s always doing something crazy. Could pepper balls make you bounce off walls, or run screaming down halls? Could the continued use of pepper balls lead to overuse of alcohol?
Editors note: 1. We prefer not to post alleged criminal histories. 2. Posts containing threats or references to previous banned comments will be censored or removed. 3. A temporarily banned commenter can be reconsidered for reinstatement, but only if future posts do not contain violations of our PS policy, failure to comply will result in a permanent ban.
I hope everyone will respect what we’re trying to do here and comply. We want PS to be a safe place for opinions, ideas and education. It’s read by the general public and our site is approved for schoolagers. Over 30,000 people regularly read PS and most of that is due to you!
Would you prefer lead balls? Because that is what rioters once got.
Why is HE allowed back here? Did he post a “heartfelt” apology and a promise to seek professional help? If he did post something that resembles an apology I must have missed it. Can you repost it please.
Re Quentin (snip) Colgan: “This would be funny until one realizes that the OCCUPY movement has nothing against corporations. Except when they try to buy my government.”
What is truly funny is that you try and float this nonsense after so much stark and revealing evidence to the contrary.
Welcome back (snip) Colgan!
One more time: PS will only allow posts that conform to the ER’s as well as our own community standards. We don’t want threats, gross personal attacks, etc. Obviously some things will slip in here now and then because we’re not perfect, but we try to make it right and remove such things as we find them.
We definitely do not want anything that would be considered libel or illegal in any way. And lastly, we won’t print rap sheets unless its part of the national news.
We want this place to be G rated, safe for families, kids and everyone. But, we need your cooperation. -Jack
So, if one of your valued, G rated community makes a death threat or has a public criminal record that is pertinent to that death threat, making reference to it is not allowed?
OK, I get it.
The thing about censorship is … what the freak is going on?
Libby, it’s just that this person, who shall remain unnamed, made some pretty inflammatory remarks that could be taken as personal threats and we pulled the posts. But, not before the target of said threats retaliated and posted some things we also can’t allow. So to try and de-escalate the growing animosity thats like a verbal duke out. We’ve been watching the posts more carefully and one of the persons was taken off our list of approved posters.
We hate doing this #@#$% censorship @#$%@, but we’ve got to have some limits or this place would become XXX and sooner or later the cops would get involved.
Pie, c’mon it’s not like that at all. We removed the posts that started this as a courtesy for you, so give us a break. If you feel we did something wrong, okay, feel free to call our editor. But, I think we’ve worked way too hard to see this great podium for exchanging ideas, opinions, news and debates, ect., turn into some kind of battleground for people trying to attack each other verbally, with attacks and counter-attacks that go on and on…. let’s discuss ideas and opinions on things the audience can really use.
@#$% it whatever. You know what you find in the middle of the road? Dead f@#$ing s#&@. Enjoy your “life” in the middle of the road lol. Now I know why you guys like Romney.
Toby, who here loves Romney? Granted, most pundents will say Romney is the likely nominee, but are we here thrilled with him? Not by a long shot. We’re worried he’s another RINO and he likely won’t define our conservative values very well.
For most of us rightwingers we would rather have Gingrich/Cain ticket or vice versa, and I say why not? Lets swing for the fences, go for broke.
In my opinion Gingrich is the smartest guy we could put in the White House, but he’s a long shot because of the great middle – those moderates you hate. I ain’t there and neither are any of our posters. We are clearly on one side or the other. So take some consolation in that.
First off I said you like Romney not love, big difference. Secondly, you act more like republicans than you do conservatives a lot of the time. Again, big difference these days. A prime example is the treatment you give the squatters in our downtown. You insisted on treating them like a legitimate group when true conservatives have had them pegged from day one as a rent a mob group of thugs. These people are not people you can deal with or reason with. They are nasty, ignorant, violent, malcontents who seek out violence to further their agenda. Republicans always want to reach out and work with the Left. The Left works with republicans until their needs are met and then they slam the door in the Republican’s face. Republicans will never learn, I have hope for you.
Oh and I do not hate moderates, I just have no use for them.
Oh and I am with you 110% on the idea of a Cain/Gingrich or Gingrich/Cain ticket. Newt Gingrich truly is the smartest person in most rooms he is in. Oh and I just saw something that Newt is climbing in the ranks, he is #2.
