Nope, the best Side Car is —
Two parts Evan Williams. (A superior, very sweet, oak barrel aged white light’n that is relatively inexpensive, true blue corn squeez’n bourbon which has been made in Kentucky since 1783.)
One part Triple Sec. (Such as Cointreau which is considered to be the best.)
Fresh squeezed lemon to taste (some recipes call for as much as one part lemon juice, I prefer less).
Mix over ice and strain into a martini glass that has been rimmed with hand crushed raw sugar and lemon zest.
Yes, get a cast iron mortar and pestle and crush that raw sugar yourself. It is worth it.
