What an amazing story. This lovely woman’s dedication and loyalty is amazing but what is also amazing is the gratitude the townspeople feel is still very much alive after all these years.
Frankly, I find this story to be uncomfortable because it is so rhetorically proximate to justifications for more war.

You misunderstand. That was my feeble attempt at satire. It was meant to be biting and vicious satire. Unfortunately, biting and vicious satire has been usurped liberal progressive dorks who render satire obsolete.
