Holder Seeks Hispanic Voters for Obama

U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder reached out to Hispanic voters yesterday at a meeting of La Raza and said he vows to step up prosecution of those who discriminate against Latinos, and other minorities!

I find this to be quite an amusing statement, as if his department is flooded with discrimination cases. If he had any they didn’t show up on any criminal stats I could find; I wonder if that was why he tried to make something out of the Trayvon Martin case?

He thanked the National Council of La Raza for leading the way for decades to protect illegal aliens from discovery and deportation, while teaching them how to play the system. I believe he used the word, disenfranchised, not illegal, but we know what he meant. And yes, for decades this is exactly what La Raza did, it’s hardly a secret.

“Our nation’s struggle to overcome injustice and eliminate disparities remains far from over,” Holder said, speaking to a luncheon audience of 1,850 people on the opening day of the four-day conference in Las Vegas. “We have further to travel on the road to equality.” Yes Mr. Holder we sure do! Starting with the racist Congressional Black Caucus that excludes everyone but blacks. And if you would like more irony, La Raza is a race based organization with a bad history of using inflammatory rhetoric against whites. Its very name translates to “The Race” and here is Holder giving them the thumbs up!

Taking a lesson from Jesse Jackson, the National Council of La Raza succeeded in raking in over $15.2 million in federal grants last year alone, of which $7.9 million was in U.S. Department of Education grants for Charter Schools, and undisclosed amounts were for get-out-the-vote efforts supporting La Raza political positions. There were no such grants for conservatives or republicans, even though much of those grants were paid with conservative tax money.

The Council of La Raza succeeded in having itself added to congressional hearings by Republican House and Senate leaders. And an anonymous senator even gave the Council of La Raza an extra $4 million in earmarked [taxpayer] money, supposedly for “housing reform,” while La Raza continues to lobby the Senate for virtual open borders and amnesty for illegal aliens. Your tax dollars at work!

In his 18-minute speech, Holder said he was thrilled to see that the U.S. Supreme Court recently threw out most of an Arizona law to crack down on illegal aliens. But Holder said he was disappointed the high court upheld the part of the law that would allow police to actually ask for some sort of proof they are in the country legally when the police have reason to believe they are not. The attorney general said the Justice Department would be watching Arizona very carefully and if they make one little mistake he’s going to be right there to right wrongs and help those poor oppressed illegal aliens with your tax dollars.

“Such laws cannot be seen as a license to engage in racial profiling,” Holder said to applause, although there has never been one proven incident of racial profiling in Az law enforcement. It never was a license to engage in racial profiling. It was legislation reaffirm that AZ law enforcement would enforce the Constitution and the federal laws
concerning people who enter the US illegally, bypassing our safe guards against terrorism.

President Obama is sending Vice President Joe Biden to address the racist La Raza group on Tuesday, the last day of the conference of 5,000 La Raza members at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center.
