Hurricane Headed Straight for the Big Island

Posted by Jack

Once a cat-4 this hurricane has slowed to a cat-1 with sustained winds at 85 mph. It is expected to hit Hilo later this evening and diminish as it passes over the volcanoes into a tropical storm. By the time it hits Kona winds should by less than 75 mph, but enough to wreak havoc on Kona’s harbor and boats.
