CA Tax Dollars Used to Teach LA Students to Sell Obamacare to Mom, Dad…Whomever!

Posted by Tina

Investors.com

With great excitement, the Los Angeles Unified School District has designed a nearly $1 million program to train teenagers to promote the glories of ObamaCare to parents, relatives and friends at home.

The state’s health insurance exchange, Covered California, is handing $990,000 to LA schools, along with federal grants totaling 36-million more U.S. taxpayer dollars to districts around the most populous state.

The goal is to train millions of student messengers statewide to sell the idea of government-subsidized health insurance to parents and relatives at home and to get more people enrolled in ObamaCare.

Taxpayer-paid public school staff will also be used to phone students’ homes urging enrollment under Obama’s Affordable Care Act. And they will be used to consume precious class instructional time to teach the students all about the healthcare program that the Democrat Congress did not read before passing in 2010.

Taxpayers, parents, students and teachers are screwed again by the shenanigans of an out of control, progressive, power hungry, greedy…thugocracy in control of the Democrat Party.

Obama Paid Big Bucks to Contractors to Snoop Into Your Financial Data

Posted by Tina

Brendon Bordelon of The Daily Caller writes about this scandalous policy which is not only an invasion of privacy and possibly illegal but also another example of extreme abuse of power. Documents obtained through a Freedom of Information filing show that the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) “compelled banks to comply with the program by making successful passage of routine inspections conditional on supplying massive amounts of their customers’ financial information.” This is the same community organizer intimidation tactic used by ACORN to force banks to make bad loans that ultimately led to the financial crisis and meltdown that destroyed the homeowner and stock investments of moist Americans and helped to cripple the budgets of states and cities across America.

Details from the Daily Caller:

Multiple credit reporting agencies and accounting firms signed contracts with the bureau in 2012 to gather, store and analyze mountains of data on Americans’ credit card transactions. One company, Argus Information and Advisory Services, was paid $2.9 million last year to perform such tasks, with a total payout of $15 million scheduled for 2017.

Experian, another information services group, was tasked with assembling a “nationally representative panel of credit information on consumers” from “a national database of credit files .” The contract states that the panel will include the contents of 5 million consumer accounts along with their credit scores, postal code, age and year of birth.

The panel will initially contain ten years’ worth of individual consumer information, will be updated quarterly and will periodically add new credit files from the CFPB’s growing national database. The contract is worth almost $8.5 million.

A final company, Deloitte Consulting, is being paid nearly $5 million to provide software and computer instruction related to the program.

Another document states that contractors “may be required by the CFPB to share credit card data collected from the Banks with additional government entities,” raising the prospect that personal financial information may be sent to one or more unspecified federal agencies.

“Who knows where else they’re sending [the data] to?” said Fitton. “There’s talk about tying it to mortgage data, so they might be sharing with the Federal Housing Finance Agency.”

The Experian contract says that the information is being collected “for use in a wide range of policy research projects,” echoing CFPB Director Richard Cordray’s April 23 contention that the data will be used only to help “inform policy decisions.”

Fitton, however, believes the program is not only wasteful but a threat to financial security. “This data can only be managed by hiring scores of contractors and outside government entities to analyze it,” he said. “When you widen the circle, you lessen security. It would not surprise me if in a year or two we hear about some contractor running off with this data.”

“The NSA stuff is almost a sideshow compared to the financial information that the government’s compiling,” he concluded.

The list of egregious abuses by this administration just keep piling up. I’ll say it again, this administration under the leadership of Barack Obama is nothing more than a thugocracy fashioned after the mafia. The level of support given this president suggest what is needed is a vast scrubbing of all departments and bureaus as well as the Congress.

The Democrat Party is the party run by radical extremists. The Democrat party is the party run by unscrupulous power hungry thugs! How could any American wish to be, in any way, associated with the Democrat Party?

Tolerated Bigotry Wrapped in Rainbow Colors

Posted by Tina

I have little desire to discuss gay marriage but given the inexcusably bigoted wording included in the majority opinion in the DOMA case I think it might be of interest to review some of the ugliness and bigotry that surrounds the gay agenda and the never ending lawsuits, protests, and activists policy makers that control the Democrat Party. It is their intention to eliminate Christian religious influence in society and in politics and they don’t mind creating an atmosphere of intimidation, bigotry and hate to achieve that goal. Sadly a media that should be neutral and interested in factual reporting gives them cover.

One of the most egregious examples of intimidation and hate is the treatment Mormons were subjected to in California and Utah for Mormon support of Proposition 8. The Mormons won the political contest and the measure passed with support coming across racial and party lines. Gay extremists refused to accept the will of the people in California even though the measure got the vote of the people twice! Because they gave money and voice to a differing view the Mormons became a target for scorn and ridicule. Protests were loud and well covered by the media. Protests signs screamed epithets like “Mormon Scum” and contained messages suggesting Joseph Smith was a “pedophile”. Clearly, at least some of those seeking gay marriage under protest that they are being treated as “lesser,” have no problem at all treating other groups as “lesser” or  “stigmatizing” people for their religious beliefs. Other examples of this hypocrisy include defacing the walls of a Mormon Temple. Evangelicals were similarly targeted and demeaned simply because of a strongly held religious conviction that placed them in support of traditional marriage. Protest became a public circus with demeaning comments and jokes delivered with scornful alacrity on late night talk shows and throughout the popular culture. It has also made it’s way into the public schools where debate about gay marriage has often become an excuse to ridicule Christians with differing views and beliefs.

Who can forget the way Chic-Fil-A was singled out and targeted, not because gays had been mistreated or turned away at the stores, but because the owner holds a personal religious conviction about traditional marriage? In addition to a call for nationwide boycott, individual restaurants were defaced with graffiti and liberal mayors in cities like Boston, Chicago, and San Francisco suggested they would try to deny business permits if Chic-Fil-A attempted to expand in their cities. If this is not an example of the bigotry of  the old racist South I don’t know what is!

Anti-Bullying activist and speaker Dan Savage was asked to speak at the National High School Journalism Conference. His subject was bullying, a subject that concerns many teens. Instead of informing and educating the students his talk became a hostile rant against the Bible and Christians. His vulgar hateful speech caused some students to leave after which he declared, “You can tell the Bible guys in the hall they can come back now because I’m done beating up the Bible.” Perhaps Mr. Savage has experienced ill treatment in the past from a Bible quoting person but the students who attended this conference certainly did not deserve to be the target for his angry outbursts. His agenda was all that mattered. Mr. Savage received obligatory condemnation of the mild and disingenuous sort that is commonly dished out for progressives who bully and make public displays of bigotry.

Another group of Americans have been targeted for bigoted discrimination, Christian members of the US military.

Breitbart reports:

The Pentagon has released a statement confirming that soldiers could be prosecuted for promoting their faith: “Religious proselytization is not permitted within the Department of Defense…Court martials and non-judicial punishments are decided on a case-by-case basis…”.

The statement, released to Fox News, follows a Breitbart News report on Obama administration Pentagon appointees meeting with anti-Christian extremist Mikey Weinstein to develop court-martial procedures to punish Christians in the military who express or share their faith.

(From our earlier report: Weinstein is the head of the Military Religious Freedom Foundation, and says Christians–including chaplains–sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ in the military are guilty of “treason,” and of committing an act of “spiritual rape” as serious a crime as “sexual assault.” He also asserted that Christians sharing their faith in the military are “enemies of the Constitution.”)

Being convicted in a court martial means that a soldier has committed a crime under federal military law. Punishment for a court martial can include imprisonment and being dishonorably discharged from the military.

According to Wikipedia Michael L. Weinstein “is an attorney, businessman, and former Air Force officer. He is the founder and president of the Military Religious Freedom Foundation…which describe(s) his fight against alleged coercive Christian Fundamentalist practices by some members of the military. You can read about his views here.

Mr. Weinstein has a right to his opinions, but why has he been given so much authority to define military rules? Just how much will the influence of this anti-Christian zealot affect religious expression in the military? Why is his extremism courted much less tolerated? Although there are denials that Weinstein had influence over military generals to make policy regarding restrictions of religious expression the House of Representatives did feel compelled to pass the following amendment:

WASHINGTON, D.C. – By voice vote this afternoon, the U.S. House of Representatives passed the amendment of Congressman Tim Huelskamp (R-Kansas) to the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) of FY2014. This amendment will require the Department of Defense (DoD) to inform Congress whenever its employees meet with outside individuals regarding military policy related to religious liberty.

The objective is to at least expose, and possibly deter, future meetings between Pentagon officials and Mikey Weinstein, the founder and president of the inaptly named Military Religious Freedom Foundation. In April, The Washington Post published the shocking revelation that several Generals and Pentagon officials actually consulted Mr. Weinstein for assistance in formulating Air Force policies concerning “religious tolerance.”

In January a Christian pastor, Luis Giglio, was dismissed from the Presidents second inaugural because of objections over “a two-decades-old sermon” in which he preached…

“…a biblically-based message that homosexuality, like other sins, required repentance — and that, as with other sins, the power of Jesus Christ offered both healing and restoration, grace and mercy to the repentant.”

The article then quoted theologian Al Mohler from his blog,

“Mr. Giglio’s ministry is based on ‘undiluted biblical truth,’ and his preaching on homosexuality has been ‘the consensus of the Church for more than 2,000 years, and is the firm belief held by the vast majority of Christians around the world today.'”

I am aware of those who are comfortable diluting Biblical truth when it gets in the way of their personal desires, predilections and goals…often they are known as sinners and aren’t we all?  But the inauguration would not be a forum for discussion of such matters and the polite dismissal was the result of a politically driven act of protest and intolerance. (There are brief moments when I feel empathy for the President. I’m sure Pastor Giglio was invited in all sincerity.

It would appear, however, that the administration is bent on denying religious expression whenever and wherever it can based on the views of Americans who insist on imposing their will even to the extent of demanding the heavy hand of government engage in “prohibiting the free exercise” of religion and “abridging freedom of speech.”

This is an ugly form of tyranny unworthy of free people.

Others commented on Giglio’s dismissal:

Russell D. Moore from “Moore to the Point” described the situation in a pithy summary: “Notice that the problem is not that this evangelical wants to ‘impose his religion’ on the rest of society. The problem is not that he wants to exclude homosexuals or others from the public square or of their civil rights. The problem is that he won’t say that they can go to heaven without repentance. That’s not a civil issue, but a religious test of orthodoxy.”

By asking Mr. Giglio to step down, the inaugural committee has, in effect, apologized to the nation for inviting an evangelical who believes foundational Christian truth. In their official statement about Mr. Giglio’s withdrawal, officials wrote that the replacement person’s beliefs will “reflect this administration’s vision of inclusion and acceptance for all Americans.” Except, of course, those who disagree with the administration’s narrow view of “inclusion” and “acceptance of all Americans.” As Mr. Moore noted, we now have a “de facto established state church” that requires everyone to embrace “sexual liberation in all its forms” in order to enter the public square or participate in the public debate on these issues.

I have to agree. The thing that makes this incident ridiculous is that the Pastor would not have made references to Biblical teachings regarding homosexuality at an inaugural event. There was nothing to fear. This bending to gay pressure, even in an unrelated setting, was clearly a deeply intolerant act that is becoming, all too often, an accepted state of affairs in America.

As I was researching to write this article I discovered a statistic that frankly shocked me. Back in February Evelyn Gordon, Commentary Magazine wrote:

In recent months, a new consensus has emerged: For the first time in millennia, Judaism has lost its title as the world’s most persecuted religion; today, that dubious honor goes to Christianity. “Christians are targeted more than any other body of believers,” wrote Rupert Shortt in a 54-page report for the London-based Civitas institute in December, which meticulously documented their persecution on a country-by-country basis. Even politicians have begun grasping this fact: German Chancellor Angela Merkel publicly deemed Christianity “the most persecuted religion in the world” in November. In short, as one commentator put it last week, Christians have become the new Jews.

Most of the persecution that Christians around the world suffer is happening in other countries around the globe, often in the extreme and often at the hands of Muslim extremists. But it disturbs this American greatly that radical gay Americans, with the apparent blessing of certain members of the Supreme Court and in conjunction with this administration, and the media, can be counted among those who willingly, even gleefully, engage in demeaning Christians and suppressing their right of expression.

Tolerance, respect, cooperation, adjustment, accommodation, and inclusion are words that all Americans must learn to live by if we are ever to experience again the blessings and greatness that freedom bestowed upon us. The LGBT community lost my support and respect when they embraced intolerance and bigotry as a means in their cause.

Latest News 27 Jun 2013. An Unpopular Opinion on Bowe Bergdahl

by Jack

It’s a prisoner swap proposal. Four hardcore Taliban leaders in exchange for one US soldier who deserted from a forward base in Afghanistan. Bowe Bergdahl has been held by the Taliban for about four years and now they want a prisoner exchange with the US.

The problem is, the people they want back are not not the kind of people you would want returned to the battlefield. We might get this army deserter back, but at what cost? How many US soldiers will be lost if these killers are sent back to Afghanistan. They never deserted, they’re serving honorably, their parents care just as much about them as Bergdahl’s, why should they have to die to get Bergdahl back?

If the Taliban didn’t have him, he should be in a federal prison doing time, deserting in a combat zone is akin to treason and it’s one of the most despicable offenses a soldier can commit because it places all of his combat brothers at greater risk. And they placed themselves at great risk when they went looking for Bergdahl after he ran away. They took a lot of chances to recover him and that’s not right either. The evidence to date says this person planned well in advance to desert, he left behind his uniform and weapon and was going to go into the hills to avoid his duty. When he placed himself into the hands of the enemy he not only hurt those who have served honorably in our military, but he became an valuable asset to the Taliban.

bergdahlsHere’s a picture of his kookie parents. They say the apple never falls from the tree and in this case it looks about right.  The Dad has taken on the persona of a Taliban.  He even addressed the crowd of supporters in Pashto, Afghanistan’s main language.   Before you feel too sorry for them, remember these parents imparted the kind of values and judgement that led to this soldier being able to rationalize that somehow it’s okay to break his oath of allegiance, to sneak off his base and abandone his bother soldiers, to naively wander into a nearby enemy controlled town and become the captive he is today.

When you hear the parents talk, you can begin to understand how it was that this young man came by his very strange values.  They are strange people.  It’s totally predictable that the parents accept no responsibility, that they deny to their son did anything wrong, and that they continue to pressure the government to seek his release at any cost…even if means putting other sons and daughters of American’s at risk.

If you read the strange story of Bowe Bergdahl you will see he was no prize before enlisting and he was no prize afterwards. He was an odd ball, a real strange duck and he did something terrible that dishonored his country.   He did what every other soldier before or after his time has managed not to do in Afghanistan…desert and become an asset for the Taliban enemy.  That’s over 900,000 US soldiers who have rotated through Afghanistan and not one of them did what Bergdahl did.

I’m hoping we won’t give up any prisoners for this individual, but mine is the probably an unpopular view.  Looking at what we have in the White House, it will  probably happen and if we get him back I doubt he will have to face any charges, he’ll be treated like a hero by people who don’t know the whole story or couldn’t grasp it even if they did.   About the only thing he’ll have to worry about is getting his butt kicked by Vet’s who served honorably and think deserters should be shot.

From the UK’s Mail…

The Rolling Stone article, to be published Friday, also quotes other soldiers and associates of Bergdahl’s as saying that he had talked about walking to Pakistan if his deployment was ‘lame’ and that shortly before his disappearance he had asked whether he should take his weapon if he left the base.

Friends and other soldiers describe a survivalist mentality, and Bergdahl’s father, Bob, told the magazine that his son was ‘living in a novel.’

‘The future is too good to waste on lies,’ one email reads. ‘And life is way too short to care for the damnation of others, as well as to spend it helping fools with their ideas that are wrong.

In custody: The Taliban released a video of Bergdahl after they captured him and a man holds up the soldier’s dogtags to prove that it is in fact the 26-year-old

Classification: He was initially listed as ‘duty status unknown’ and is now considered ‘missing-captured’

‘The US army is the biggest joke the world has to laugh at. It is the army of liars, backstabbers, fools, and bullies.

‘The few good (sergeants) are getting out as soon as they can, and they are telling us privates to do the same.’

The emails were provided to the magazine by Bergdahl’s family in Idaho, which has gone public with its own discontent with U.S. efforts to free their son. There is no way to authenticate the emails.

Some of Bergdahl’s reported words read like a suicide note.

‘I am sorry for everything,’ he wrote. ‘The horror that is America is disgusting.’

Questionable clues: Reports emerged in 2010 that a Taliban leader told British officials that Bergdahl was teaching Taliban members how to build and detonate bombs, but the U.S. denied it

He mailed home boxes containing his uniform and books.

In 2010, rumors circulated following allegations made by Taliban leader Haji Nadeem, who said that Bergdahl has been training and helping the Al Qaeda operatives how to make bombs.

Pentagon officials immediately denied the charges, saying that the stories told by Nadeem didn’t ‘hold much water from the get-go’ since he claimed that Bergdahl had weapons and arms on him when he was captured, which is not true.

Both official reports and the Rolling Stone article say that Bergdahl left the base with only a bottle of water and a compass.

26% of Obama Supporters – Tea Party Bigger “Terror” Threat

Posted by Tina

The Tea Party stands for smaller government and low taxes and yet according to Pew and the Washington Times:

About half of all voters see radical Muslims as the biggest terrorist threat to the country, but among those who approve of President Obama’s performance, the tea party is not far behind, according to a new poll.

Fifty-one percent of likely U.S. voters consider radical Muslims to be the bigger threat to the country today, and 13 percent say the Tea Party is, according to a new Rasmussen poll.

But among those who approve of Mr. Obama’s job performance, 29 percent see radical Muslims as the bigger threat and 26 percent say the tea party. Among those who strongly approve of the president, more actually fear the tea party than radical Muslims.

I attribute this insanity to massive media and activist propaganda spread liberally throughout our land. The people are duped and exploited.

I’m Confused… (Rated PG-13)

I became confused when I heard the word “Service“used with these agencies:

Internal Revenue ‘Service’

U.S. Postal ‘Service’

Telephone ‘Service’

Cable TV‘Service’

Civil ‘Service’

State, City, County & Public ‘Service’

Customer ‘Service’

This is not what I thought ‘Service ‘meant.

But today, I overheard two farmers talking, and one of them said he had hired a bull to ‘Service’ a few cows.

Bam! -  It all came into focus. Now I understand what all those agencies are doing!

Guns and Hunting – Outlawed in California

by Jack

Okay, guns may not technically be outlawed, but it’s getting so close they might as well be.  And hunting, you might think this is a joke, but it’s not.  Read on.

Example of why guns might as well be outlawed.  The feds say steel core bullets are potentially armor piercing (hardly).   Therefore, they made them illegal to sell to private persons.   California said lead bullets are bad for the environment, so they made them illegal to sell in the state.   There are two kinds of bullets made today, one has a steel core and the other a lead core.  See what I mean?

New legislation says… all semi-auto hand guns sold in California must a have a bullet flag to indicate a round is in the chamber.    This is some sort of pop up flag that is supposed to be placed near the rear sight that warns the shooter a round is in the chamber.  For purposes of safety this has questionable value.  However, it  restricts many types of hand gun sales in CA and this makes it good.   New legislation says, all guns sold in California must a have a laser imprinted firing pin, so that when striking a bullet primer it leaves an imprint of the guns identifying information.  Expensive, unreliable and of minimal use to law enforcement, but it will restrict gun sales, therefore it’s good.

Want to hear more?  Alright, how about this new law…all magazines must not exceed a capacity of 10 rounds and the new addition to this law says it may not look like it exceeds 10 rounds!  that’s right, if the magazine even looks like it holds more than 10 rounds it is illegal!  This serves no practical purpose, but it does inhibit gun sales.  Are you getting the picture?

A firearm that is spotted in the open by a visitor to your home can cause your arrest and loss of said weapon.   Firearms must be locked away, out of sight in your home and at all times now or you can be in trouble.   Detachable magazines for rifles are about to be illegal, making your Mini-14’s, AR-15’s, old military .45 1911’s,  and many, many others illegal or they must be duly registered and it looks like they can’t be resold, I’m not clear on this one.   Next, you’re about to need a special license to just buy ammunition, that is, if you can find any.

The bill passed yesterday mandates the licensing of bullet buyers in CA.  What a crock that is!   The list of persons restricted from firearms ownership is now being compared to registered gun purchases and if your name appears on both you can expect a knock on your door by police who will arrest you and seize your firearm/s.   What terrible things could put you on the list of persons not allowed to own firearms?   If you were a returning war vet and had some PTSD issues,  that could do it and you may not even know it.  What vet that went through combat didn’t have a little PTSD?   If you went through a divorce where the spouse filed a restraining order, that will do it too!  Point is, there are many subtle ways to get on that list and you may never know it, until the police are at your door.  How do you like the law now?  Isn’t CA a piece of work?

The Dept. of Fish and Wildlife has just endorsed a bill to end hunting, with the exception of a few game birds, allowed only if you use a shot gun with steel pellets.  Bill passed the Senate and is soon to be law.  It’s endorse by Fish and Wildlife.

It gets worse… and there are more bills and laws I could bring to your attention, but the point is, the threat to law abiding citizens and our Constitutional freedoms has never been greater by a radical far left agenda here.  We have a legislature that has no accountability for the evil they are doing to us…none.  They can keep dishing it out and we are forced to spend ourselves broke trying to keep up and if we don’t then it’s an automatic victory for their side.

In the past decade we’ve come to expect that 6 or 7 gun prohibiting laws would be introduced in the CA legislature.  This year we started out with 40!   Does the legislature have nothing else to do?

It’s a case of one side being able to introduce any number of gun laws, at no cost, with no accountability.  They just keep cranking them out.  These are laws that will impact the economy and they restrict the rights of all of us, gun owners or otherwise because you can’t encroach on one right without encroaching on all of them.   On the other side, the good side, those people who are  most directly impacted by this bad legislation, well, like I said above, they must pay dearly to fight against each bill and/or law or if they don’t then they lose by default.

All the cost, accountability and risk is put on on one side.  And this side would be you and me.  We’re forced into the position of defending ourselves and our Constitutional rights from every haphazard law that can be cranked off the legislative presses in Sacramento.    Unethical legislators see this as a way to overwhelm us.  And those bills just keep coming and coming and coming….   There’s no end of creative anti-gun laws coming out of Sacramento!  It’s like an obsession with some legislators.

Gun owners simply can’t defend against each and every bill or law enacted.  The sheer time and cost of doing so says this is  impractical.    The liberal legislature has it made with this tactic because they have no such burdens, they bear no risks.   They suffer absolutely nothing for creating bad legislation.  Heck, they are paid handsomely to harass gun owners with idiotic laws.  They’re  waging war on us and we lack any effective way of responding, the battle here is totally lop-sided.

The legislature has absolutely no accountability for proposing bad laws except at the ballot box and you see how effective that’s been?

As gun owners, we can’t keep treating the symptoms and ignore the cause while hoping for the best.    We’re losing.  We’re dying and so are our rights.   Sure, we can always hire lobbyists, protest at the Capitaol and we can advertise to try to educate voters.  We can spend all our money to do these things, but that’s been not to be enough to stop the plethora of bills that are undermining, or violating your 2nd, 5th and 14th Amendments and we can’t vote them out either.  Low information voters have the majority vote.  So, not the NRA, not the CA Gun Owners, nor the Pacific Legal or all their lobbyists are making a wit of difference against the gun-grabbers passing bad laws.  They’ll keep on passing those laws until they have 100% of what they seek and we are destroyed.  They’re 90% of the way done!   If you don’t believe me,  look at the anti-gun laws that have popped up in recent years!   And it doesn’t end until we (gun owners this time) are neutralized and we are almost done at this point.

The only way to effectively fight back is to be able to do what the liberals do to us all the time.   Make this fight personal, make this enemy feel some risk and be put on the defensive for a change!   We should be able sue the socks off any individual legislators when they go after our Constitutional rights!  What worse crime could their be?    We must be able to hold them personally liable and accountable whenever they aid or abet the passage of un-Constitutional laws.    Notice I said we should, not we can.    I’m sorry to report that there is little hope of that remedy levelling the playing field.   Lawmakers are protected by the State Constitution from being held civilly liable for damaging us no matter how severely, even if it results in our false imprisonment on one of their phony gun laws.   Currently,  they cannot be held liable… no matter how egregious, how unethical,  how un-Constitutional or how damaging their legislation may be to any number of people.  They can damage us at will and yet they are beyond the reach of justice,  how is that fair?

In the most blunt, but accurate terms…we’re S-O-L!   We desperately need a provision in our State Constitution that says, legislator’s can be reached with civil penalties, but only under very  specific and very limited provisions,  for example, only if they deliberately intend to harm to our Constitutionally protected freedoms with malicious legislation.   Without that narrow exception to keep their agenda on the level, we’ve placed too much on trust and hope and not enough in common sense.   The only other alternative is something our forefathers said ought to be the last resort… physical resistance to tyranny.   I believe that day has passed, and we’re not going to go there.  More likely is, we’re going to resist as best we can hoping for a miracle and we’re going to delay the liberal’s declaration of victory by a few more years, but in the end the outcome looks inevitable.

We didn’t react strong enough when we had the chance years back, possibly because we couldn’t conceive of such a thing actually happening, yet here we are.

Game over. . . or is it?

DOMA is DOA

by Jack

The news came as no surprise to me, the Defense of Marriage Act is dead.  The LDS chruch had this to say, “By ruling that supporters of Proposition 8 lacked standing to bring this case to court, the Supreme Court has highlighted troubling questions about how our democratic and judicial system operates. Many Californians will wonder if there is something fundamentally wrong when their government will not defend or protect a popular vote that reflects the views of a majority of their citizens.

“In addition, the effect of the ruling is to raise further complex jurisdictional issues that will need to be resolved.

“Regardless of the court decision, the Church remains irrevocably committed to strengthening traditional marriage between a man and a woman, which for thousands of years has proven to be the best environment for nurturing children.  Notably, the court decision does not change the definition of marriage in nearly three fourths of the states.”

Most news pundets agree that it was bound to happen anyway, if not today, then tomorrow.  The youth of today are rallying behind this issue as activists did in the 50’s-60’s for black civil rights issues.  It’s all part of the changing values in America.

Liberal Sweden…So Understanding

Mehmet-AcaralpPosted by Jack

It is hard to fathom how a 15-year-old girl would be impacted for the rest of her life after such a horrific experience. It would have been impossible for her to get away from these teens, as they repeatedly raped her and filmed it.

It happened in Tensta, Sweden.

The boys, all Muslim immigrants, were caught, convicted and sentenced… to community service. As Bruce Bawer at FrontPageMag reported, ‘all but one were required to perform a few days’ worth of community service…’ They also have to pay the victimized girl the equivalent of $8,500 dollars.

The local media reported on the story, but they largely did not report on their ‘ethnic or religious backgrounds,’ but it is as clear as their names:
Amer Akrem Abdu
Jibril Adam Aden
Bashir Ibrahim Hussein
Mohammed Yassin
Ben Lofti
Mehmet Acaralp

Why is their ethnicity avoided in the mainstream media? Another source, the Exponerat, notes that ‘four of the six young immigrants who we named early has only one guardian in Sweden – the father.’

Mehmet, by the way, escaped any punishment, as the court felt that he had ‘already been punished sufficiently because somebody had posted his photo online.’

The message is clear. Rape is not a big deal. It seems as though the real war on women, sadly, is in Sweden.

It is easy to see why ‘Swedish rape statistics are the highest in Europe.’ In fact, the local news reports,

‘The case was the third suspected gang rape to take place in the Stockholm area earlier this year. In January, three men, two of whom were teenagers, were ordered held on remand on suspicion of raping a woman in central Stockholm in December.’

What is the real incentive for these boys to change their ways? What message does this send to the victims, whose lives will never be the same?
