Hillary on Taxing the Rich

“The rich are not paying their fair share in any nation that is facing the kind of employment issues (as the United States) — whether it’s individual, corporate or whatever the taxation forms are.” ** That’s consistent with the economic thinking that candidate Obama revealed during an unscripted moment in the presidential campaign: “I think when you spread the wealth around, it’s good for everyone.” ** Hillary went on to cite Brazil as a model to imitate. “Brazil has the highest tax-to-GDP rate in the Western Hemisphere, and guess what — they’re growing like crazy,” she said. “And the rich are getting richer, but they’re pulling people out of poverty.”Investors Business Daily

Hillary darling, you need only show us the way. You are reportedly worth around $34. Million. You and Bill can donate the bulk of your fortune to the government coffers at any time. No need to wait for legislation…just write out those checks.

See if you really believed spreading the wealth around worked you’d be doing it!

Oh and by the way, as the article goes on to mention, it is Cuba that has the highest tax-to-GDP ratio and Cuba is “not growing like crazy and there’s still a shortage of fish even though the country is surrounded by water.”

As far as comparative tax rates go here’s the accurate scoop: “The top marginal tax rate on income in Brazil is 27.5%, a substantially lower rate than the 35% (and soon to be 39.6%) top rate in the United States.”

Why do these people continue to lie? Because they do love to spread the wealth around…that’s the fun part. They get to stand on the world stage looking big and important. They get to use a lot of lofty sounding words to prove what caring people they are. The thing is they don’t want to spread their own money…they want yours and your neighbors and your cousins and your neighbors cousins…and so on and so on and…… Anyone that makes a dime and would like to work his way into Hillary’s tax bracket is a BIG target. She has hers (they have theirs) so what do they care what your dreams (and charities) might be.

Our government doesn’t have the right to just take as much as they can get away with, not even from the rich…and they won’t either…unless YOU let them!

God only asks 10% from each household…how arrogant these people are!!!

Mr. President, Is a Clear Message Too Much to Ask?

Posted by Tina

WASHINGTON — When he ordered 30,000 additional troops to Afghanistan last December, President Obama stressed that they would not stay forever. “After 18 months,” he said, “our troops will begin to come home.” Last weekend, though, he scorned the “obsession around this whole issue of when do we leave,” saying he was focused on making sure the troops were successful. The July 2011 deadline he set was intended to “begin a process of transition,” he said, but “that doesn’t mean we suddenly turn off the lights and let the door close behind us. ** As he hands command of the war to Gen. David H. Petraeus, Mr. Obama is trying to define what his timeline means — but not too much. Even as developments in Afghanistan have made meeting the deadline all the more daunting, Mr. Obama has sent multiple signals to multiple audiences, sticking by his commitment to begin pulling out while insisting that it does not mean simply walking away.” – New York Times

On July 23rd he also said this:

President Obama has put securing Afghanistan near the top of his foreign policy agenda, but “victory” in the war-torn country isn’t necessarily the United States’ goal, he said Thursday in a TV interview. ** “I’m always worried about using the word ‘victory,’ because, you know, it invokes this notion of Emperor Hirohito coming down and signing a surrender to MacArthur,” Obama told ABC News. ** The enemy facing U.S. and Afghan forces isn’t so clearly defined, he explained. ** “We’re not dealing with nation states at this point. We’re concerned with Al Qaeda and the Taliban, Al Qaeda’s allies,” he said. “So when you have a non-state actor, a shadowy operation like Al Qaeda, our goal is to make sure they can’t attack the United States.” – FOX News

I think we would all be better served if the President would share his inner thoughts with his inner circle only then come up with a solid plan, spell it out in clear and precise terms, and then stick to it.

LOCAL CANCER RATE – A Cause for Concern?

by Jack Lee

When I read in our ER today about Chico PD’s K9 dog dying from cancer I was reminded of a story back in April of this year on cancer. Butte County was 58th of 59 counties for cancer and suicide. That is a cause for concern and I hope our medical community is trying to look into this? On my street, about 33% of my neighbors have died from cancer in recent years. We only have 14 houses on the block, but the 3 residents that died were all from cancer and that is really unusual.

Monday’s PS Line Up Starts Out Strong!

We’ve got a great line-up of stories and news for you already this Monday, and the day is young!

  • Arizona BLM road signs warn tourists of smuggling dangers.
  • Suspend AB32 gains traction – Tea Party message
  • Hello from Vietnam
  • Wayne Allyn Root: Overwhelming the system
  • How Well Do You Know Your Republican Heritage?

Late breaking news: West Virginia Senator Robert Byrd died at the age of 92 and with him goes the passing of an era, where Senators were larger than life, they were powerful King makers and pork spenders that could not be unseated, similar in many respects to Tammany Hall of old New York.

Robert Byrd was, for a long time, hated by blacks because he was a Klan member and voted against the 1964 Civil Rights Amendment. He was considered a conservative Democrat because of his support for the Vietnam War.

Movement Aims to Stop AB32 (Calif. version of Cap & Trade)

Re: Suspend AB32 Moves Forward

Dear Post Scripts Readers,

Suspend AB 32 makes the ballot! Now it’s time for action!

The Secretary of State has just certified that the California Jobs Initiative campaign to suspend AB 32 will be on the ballot this November! The thousands of Tea Party Patriots who signed and circulated Suspend AB 32 petitions deserve a big pat on the back!

AB 32 is California’s version of cap and trade. It is the most draconian regulatory regime in state history and will cost the average family nearly $4000 a year while killing over 1 million jobs. AB 32 furthermore empowers an unelected and unaccountable bureaucracy (CARB) to tell us what to eat, what to drive and where to live.

Tourist Warnings from the BLM in AZ (Did you ever think you would see the day?)

TUCSON – Warnings are out in parts of Arizona warning alerting you of possible danger.
The Bureau of Land Management is putting up signs, along Interstate 8 between Gila Bend and Stanfield.

Kathy Pedrick from the Bureau of Land Management says the signs went up because of recent incidents along the border south of I-8.
She says, “there was a Pinal County Sheriff’s deputy shot at, there’s been some homicides recently with some of the smugglers.”

The signs warn the public they could encounter smugglers or individuals who may be armed.

Gilbert Meehl believes the signs are a good idea especially for those who aren’t familiar with the area. He says, “those who pull off the road from another state to take their picture with a cactus and they travel down one of these roads, there’s no telling what they can run into.”

The signs also warn people to stay away from trash, clothing, backpacks and abandoned vehicles.

Officials say the reason the area has become such a hot bed of activity because it’s close to the interstate, and smugglers can get drugs and people into vehicles and then quickly head off to Phoenix or San Diego.

The signs also warn people not to confront anyone looking suspicious and to call 911 instead.

Read it and weep – Overwhelming the system

by WAYNE ALLYN ROOT

Barack Obama is no fool. He is not incompetent. To the contrary, he is brilliant. He knows exactly what he’s doing. He is purposely overwhelming the U.S.economy to create systemic failure, economic crisis and social chaos — thereby destroying capitalism and our country from within.

Barack Obama is my college classmate (Columbia University, class of ’83). As Glenn Beck correctly predicted from day one, Obama is following the plan of Cloward & Piven, two professors at Columbia University. They outlined a plan to socialize America by overwhelming the system with government spending and entitlement demands. Add up the clues below. Taken individually they’re alarming. Taken as a whole, it is a brilliant, Machiavellian game plan to turn the United States into a socialist/Marxist state with a permanent majority that desperately needs government for survival … and can be counted on to always vote for bigger government. Why not? They have no responsibility to pay for it.

How Well Do You Know Your Republican Heritage?

2924-Mr Zak - Republican Historian.jpg

Posted by Tina

Knowledge is a marvelous tool (or weapon) in the battle of ideas and opinions that we engage in every day on Post Scripts. That’s why I wanted to share with you a great site that will teach you everything you might want to know about the Republican Party and its legacy in the great nation’s history. One reason we should know our history is because there are a lot of “facts” out there that just ain’t so! I hope you enjoy this site and come back to it again and again.

“Back to Basics for the Republican Party”

Mr. Zak is a popular speaker to Republican organizations around the country, showing office-holders, candidates, and activists how they would benefit tremendously from knowing and appreciating the heritage of our Grand Old Party. ** As he says, “The more we Republicans know about the history of our Party, the more the Democrats will worry about the future of theirs.”

On This pageyou’ll find out how the Republican Party outlawed the Ku Klux Klan:

On this day (April 20th) in 1871, the Republican-controlled 42nd Congress passed and the Republican President, Ulysses Grant, signed into law the Ku Klux Klan Act. The law banned the KKK and other Democrat terrorist organizations. President Grant then deployed federal troops to crush a Klan uprising in South Carolina. ** Eleven years later, the U.S. Supreme Court overturned most provisions of the Act. Though legalized, this original version of the Ku Klux Klan faded. Why? Because as Democrats regained control over southern state governments, they could oppress African-Americans openly, without need of white sheets.
