The Dinner Roll

Once upon a time I was invited to the White House for a private dinner with the President.
I am a respected businessman, with a factory that produces memory chips for computers and portable electronics.

There was some talk that my industry was being scrutinized by the administration, but I paid it no mind. I live in a FREE country. There’s nothing that the government can do to me if I’ve broken no laws. My wealth was EARNED honestly, and an invitation to dinner with an American President is an honor.

I checked my coat, was greeted by the Chief of Staff, and joined the President in a yellow dining room.

We sat across from each other at a table draped in white linen. The Great Seal was embossed on the china. Uniformed staff served our dinner.

The meal was served, and I was startled when my waiter suddenly reached out, plucked a dinner roll off my plate and began nibbling it as he walked back to the kitchen…”Sorry ’bout that,” said the President. “Andrew is very hungry.”

“I don’t appreciate…” I began, but as I looked into the calm brown eyes across from me, I felt immediately guilty and petty. It was just a dinner roll. “Of course,” I concluded, and reached for my glass. Before I could, however, another waiter reached forward, took the glass away and swallowed the wine in a single gulp. “And his brother, Eric, is very thirsty,” said the President. I didn’t say anything. The President is testing my
compassion, I thought. I withheld my comments and decided to play along. I don’t want to seem unkind.. My plate was whisked away before I had tasted a bite.

“Eric’s children are also quite hungry.”

With a lurch, I crashed to the floor. My chair had been pulled out from under me.
I stood, brushing myself off angrily, and watched as it was carried from the room.
And their grandmother can’t stand for long.”

I excused myself, smiling outwardly, but inside feeling like a fool. Obviously I had been invited to the White House to be sport for some game. I reached for my coat, to find that it had been taken. I turned back to the President.

“Their grandfather doesn’t like the cold.”

I wanted to shout, “that was my coat!” But again, I looked at the placid smiling face of my host and decided I was being a poor sport. I spread my hands helplessly and chuckled.
Then I felt my hip pocket and realized my wallet was gone. I excused myself and walked to a phone on an elegant side table.

I learned shortly that my credit cards had been maxed out, my bank accounts emptied, my retirement and equity portfolios had vanished, and my wife had been thrown out of our home. Apparently, the waiters and their families were moving in. The President hadn’t moved or spoken as I learned all this, but finally I lowered the phone into its cradle and turned to face him.

“Andrew’s whole family has made bad financial decisions. They haven’t planned for retirement and they need a house. They recently defaulted on a subprime mortgage. I told them they could have your home. They need it more than you do.”

My hands were shaking. I felt faint I stumbled back to the table and knelt on the floor.
The President cheerfully cut his meat, ate his steak, and drank his wine. I lowered my eyes and stared at the small grey circles on the tablecloth that were water drops.
“By the way,” he added, “I have just signed an Executive Order nationalizing your factories. I’m firing you as head of your business. I’ll be operating the firm now for the benefit of all mankind.

There’s a whole bunch of Eric’s and Andrews out there and they can’t come to you for jobs groveling like beggars…we need to spread YOUR wealth around…”

I looked up. The President dropped his spoon into the empty napkin which had been in his crme Brule. He drained the last drops of his wine. As the table was cleared, he lit a cigarette and leaned back in his chair. He stared at me. I clung to the edge of the table as if it were a ledge and I were a man hanging over an abyss. I thought of the years behind me, of the life I had lived. The life I had earned with a lifetime of work, risk and struggle.

Why was I punished? How had I allowed it to be taken? What game had I played and lost? I looked across the table and noticed with some surprise that there was no game board between us.

What had I done wrong?

As if answering the unspoken thought, President Obama suddenly cocked his head, locked his empty eyes to mine, and bared a million teeth, chuckling wryly as he folded his hands. “You should have stopped me at the dinner roll”, he said.

My version, by Jack

Once upon a time the Staff of Post Scripts was invited to the White House for a private dinner with the President. One of the wait staff reached for a roll on Jack’s plate and Jack reacted with lightning speed and pinned the man’s hand to the table with a steak knife. “Oh my, sorry didn’t notice your hand reaching for my plate. Well, surely this must be worth a lawsuit!” Jack said. The waiter beamed with joy as the prospects of easy money. “Were you not advised of the hazards of waiting tables in the White House?” Jack asked. No, I wasn’t, he replied “According to civil law you can file a claim against your employer, the POTUS, for a serious lack of training and while placing you in a dangerous working area and without the proper protective gear. Jack then said, “Mr. President, this event is quite regrettable and unfortunately I think I’ve been traumatized too, we’re both going to have to sue you.” And so Jack and the waiter sued and Tina and Steve received big payments for being a witnesses against the Obamas and then they both sued for being traumatized, claiming they could never eat a roll again. They each collected $2 mil for damages. OSHA eventually became involved and they fined the POTUS $250,000 for failure to provide a safe working environment. The waiter won a judgement of $10,000,000 against the Obamas and they were forced to sell everything they own to pay it. In the next election he was voted out of office and half his retirement was seized to pay his civil suit. And so ends my “happy” version of this fairy tale.

Word of the Day: Dhimmitude

By Ann Barnhardt – March 25, 2010

Dhimmitude is the muslim system of controlling non-muslim populations conquered through jihad. Specifically, it is the TAXING of non-muslims in exchange for tolerating their presence AND as a coercive means of converting conquered remnants to islam.

The ObamaCare bill is the establishment of Dhimmitude and Sharia muslim diktat in the United States . Muslims are specifically exempted from the government mandate to purchase insurance, and also from the penalty tax for being uninsured. Islam considers insurance to be “gambling”, “risk-taking” and “usury” and is thus banned. Muslims are specifically granted exemption based on this. How convenient. So I, Ann Barnhardt, a Christian, will have crippling IRS liens placed against all of my assets, including real estate, cattle, and even accounts receivables, and will face hard prison time because I refuse to buy insurance or pay the penalty tax. Meanwhile, Louis Farrakhan will have no such penalty and will have 100% of his health needs paid for by the de facto government insurance. Non-muslims will be paying a tax to subsidize muslims. Period. This is Dhimmitude.

Dhimmitude serves two purposes: it enriches the muslim masters AND serves to drive conversions to islam. In this case, the incentive to convert to islam will be taken up by those in the inner-cities as well as the godless Generations X, Y and Z. If you don’t believe in Christ to begin with, it is no problem whatsoever to sell Him for 30 pieces of silver. “Sure, I’ll be a muslim if it means free health insurance and no taxes. Where do I sign, bro?”

If you are a Christian and you acquiesce to this, you will be bending your knee to Islam, and denying Christ. How many of the early Christians went to horrific deaths rather than offer a mere pinch of incense to a statue of Caesar? Every single one of us has a BIG decision to make right now, in this moment. The choice is to either offer a pinch of incense to islam and Marxism, or take up our cross and follow Christ. I’ve made my decision. I choose Christ. I choose the Cross.

This is desperately important and people need to know about it – quickly.

The above is making its way around the internet emails like greased lightning. I checked at snopes and it is classified as “undetermined” as of this moment. The reason is there are going to be some religious exemptions included, but exactly who and how it will be determined is still on the drawing board. I know the Amish have certain exemptions within Social Security, but will Muslims be allowed to opt out of Obamacare under their religion? Nobody knows that part yet. Because the final plan won’t go into effect until 2014 we may have a while to see how this part is handled.

What’s Going on Here?

Posted by Tina

Big complicated government is bad news. Government poking its nose into the affairs of business is also bad news. Government forming partnerships and alliances with business is bad news. Government’s roll should be to provide regulations that support clear and open business transactions and discourage unethical or criminal behaviors. Simple rules leave little room for wiggling or finding loop holes. Government should play a neutral roll. So what’s going on here:

“SEC accuses Goldman Sachs of civil fraud,” by Marcy Gordon – (AP) Breitbart

WASHINGTON (AP) – The government has accused Goldman Sachs & Co. of defrauding investors by failing to disclose conflicts of interest in mortgage investments it sold as the housing market was faltering. ** The Securities and Exchange Commission said in a civil complaint Friday that Goldman failed to disclose that one of its clients helped create–and then bet against–subprime mortgage securities that Goldman sold to investors.

“Timothy P. Carney: Goldman rallies for Obama in Wall Street ‘reform’,” by Timothy P. Carney – Washington Examiner

In his self-styled war against Wall Street, President Obama appears to have a powerful ally: Goldman Sachs. ** The nation’s largest investment bank, famously cozy with top government officials in both parties, has tipped its hand to its shareholders, indicating that major financial “reform” proposals will help Goldman’s bottom line. ** These are the very “fat cats” to whom Obama directed his trash talk in January: “If they want a fight, that’s a fight I’m willing to have.” Well, it looks like they don’t really want a fight. It looks like they want more regulation. The question is: What’s in it for Goldman? ** If you take Blankfein and Cohn’s word, stricter federal liquidity and capital requirements would amount to regulators doing Goldman’s work for Goldman. They want Uncle Sam to mitigate “uncertainty about counterparties’ balance sheets.” That is, they want the government to reduce the risk that Goldman’s debtors or insurers will run into trouble. ** This is an odd function of government: Making Goldman Sachs feel safer in its business dealings. Blogger Ira Stoll, at his Web site, The Future of Capitalism put it well: It’s one thing for some elderly retail depositor to ask the FDIC to protect her from risk by guaranteeing bank deposits. But the idea that the government needs to run around setting capital requirements to protect Blankfein and Cohn from the risk that their counterparties might go under or get in a liquidity crunch seems a bit odd. Let them protect themselves.”

New Discovery in Israel Lends Proof to Bible

From the AP- Sunday 18, April 2010

2207-wall.jpg

It’s just a wall. But an Israeli archaeologist sees something special in this recently-excavated ancient fortification: proof that the Bible is true. The Associated Press reports that the wall, which is thought to date back some 3,000 years to the time of King Solomon, is an indication that Jerusalem was home to a strong central government that had the resources and manpower needed to build massive fortifications in the 10th century B.C. Scholars have long debated whether or not this was true, but if the wall’s date is correct, it verifies the Bible’s account about the Hebrew kings David and Solomon, who ruled from Jerusalem around that time. While some Holy Land archaeo-logists support this version of ancient history, including the archaeologist behind the dig, Eilat Mazar, others insist that King David’s reign was largely mythical, since there was no strong central government at the time.

But the wall could change the skeptics into believers. Mazar says that the discovery of the wall is “the most significant construction we have from First Temple days in Israel.” She told AP, “It means that at that time, the 10th century, in Jerusalem there was a regime capable of carrying out such construction.” Based on what she believes is the age of the wall and its location, she thinks the fortification, which is mentioned in the Old Testament’s Book of Kings, was constructed by David’s son, Solomon. She believes the wall is 3,000 years old, based on a large number of pottery shards found in the area that date to this time.

The fortifications include a gatehouse and an ancient wall measuring 77 yards. Located just outside the present-day walls of Jerusalem’s Old City, the wall is next to the holy compound known to Jews as the Temple Mount and to Muslims as the Noble Sanctuary. The compound is now home to two important Islamic buildings, the golden-capped Dome of the Rock and the Al-Aqsa mosque. The Bible says that Solomon built on this site the First Temple, which housed the Ark of the Covenant and served as a religious focal point in ancient Judaism. It was destroyed by the Babylonians in 576 B.C., rebuilt in 516 B.C. and later renovated by King Herod in the time of Christ. Roman legions destroyed it again in 70 A.D.

But not everyone agrees. The key in all of this is the age of the wall, and at least one archaeology professor, Aren Maeir from Bar Ilan University near Tel Aviv, said he has yet to see evidence that the fortifications are as old as Mazar claims. There are remains from the 10th century in Jerusalem, he said, but proof of a strong, centralized kingdom at that time remains “tenuous.” He thinks the truth is somewhere in the middle. “There’s a kernel of historicity in the story of the kingdom of David,” he told AP.

Should Teachers Avoid the Word Hoodlum?

Written originally by the Times Ron Matus and Jamal Thalji, and now with helpful additions by Jack.

2200-stupidripts.jpg

Pinellas School Board chairwoman Janet Clark is coming under fire for using the term “hoodlums” to describe a small group of chronically disruptive students aka Crips, Bloods, etc., in county schools.

Board members Mary Brown and Linda Lerner criticized Clark at Tuesday night’s board meeting because they feel her use of the word “hoodlum” may offend the delicate sensibilities of these youths, many of whom have long rap sheets for rape, robbery homicide and carjacking. And now Ray Tampa, president of the St. Petersburg branch of the NAACP, said Clark’s refusal to apologize has made things worse! Uh, so now she’s the problem – not the thugs she rightly called hoodlums? Brilliant.

“I was disgusted with her response,” Tampa said Wednesday.

The International People’s Democratic Uhuru Movement — better known as the Uhurus — called for Clark to resign for the statement, which it viewed as racist. Clark is white. Tampa said he thought the comment was inappropriate, but not racist. In case you didn’t know the Uhurus are a organization of blacks, some might say racist blacks, that have far more in common with violent communist dictators than our founding fathers.

Tampa said he was considering filing a complaint against Clark, who has a teaching certificate, with the Florida Department of Education’s Office of Professional Practices, which handles complaints against teachers. Of course Tampa has no record of filing any complaints against the people committing felonies as gang-bangers, but then that might get him hurt, filing a complaint against a lady school teacher is fairly safe.

“The (teacher) code of ethics says you can’t embarrass kids or make disparaging remarks about kids,” he said. ( Barf alert, sorry comes a little late )

Clark made the comment at a board workshop last week in a wide-ranging discussion about chronically disruptive ( mostly black) students at John Hopkins Middle School and other Pinellas schools.

2201-thugs.jpg

“So much time is taken up with addressing hoodlums, with kids who don’t want to be in school,” she said. She also said, “We are talking about a small number of children.”

Brown and Lerner weighed in Tuesday night.

“They might be disruptive. They might be in gangs. They might be many things, but they are not hoodlums,” (In gangs? Whaa? But they are to be called hoodlums?) That’s what Brown said. “I feel that that statement showed insensitivity to our children, and it certainly did not offer good guidance to our staff.”

“There are people upset out there about the comment, different kinds of people, including employees,” Lerner said. “We have to be careful as board members when we speak.” Because this is the new America and using a politically incorrect word, even accidentally, can have you fired and slandered for no good reason. The inmates are truly running the asylum.

Before the meeting, Clark said the statement had nothing to do with race. “I made no mention of race,” she said. “There are hoodlums of all races and colors and ethnic backgrounds. (again…for accuracy sake…they’re mostly black) ”

But Clark may have stepped into a situation where the same word conjures up different images, depending on who hears it.

It does not appear the origins of the word “hood-lum” have any ties to race or ethnicity. It is an adaptation of a German word that meant “ragamuffin” or “good for nothing,” said Michael Adams, an associate professor of English at Indiana University and author of the 2009 book, Slang: The People’s Poetry.

But the meanings of words can change, Adams said. Over time, “hoodlum” may have become a more racially identifiable word, in part because of the slang term “hood,” short for neighborhood, and also because hood and hoodlum began to be applied to African-American youths by white people, he said. And that is why, its all your fault… he thought.

“Hoodlum, when you look it up in the dictionary, doesn’t look so bad,” Adams said. But when people in the black community hear it, “they associate it with words and meanings other than (those from) 1871 or whenever it was the word first appeared in print.” See this is why people living in the projects are so careful with the words they use. They are well known for having a refined vocabulary and contributing so much to the English languarge. (Note to PC sticklers – do not take this to mean every single person living in a run down government housing project, thanks)

The professor said the case reminds him of the uproar from a 1999 incident when a Washington D.C., city official used the term “niggardly” to describe how he was managing budget cuts. It means “miserly,” but another employee took it as a racial slur. The employee apparently never owned a dictionary… And it’s your fault again, because if you had been more caring you would have purchased more dictionaries for the hood where black gangsters are so desperate to learn good English.

Said Adams: “What people hear always means something more than what a word may mean historically.” Or people only hear what they want to hear, i.e. black congressman accusing Tea Party people of using the N word.

At Tuesday’s meeting, Clark told board members that she knew people were upset, but would not apologize. (Note: Clark is still alive…for now)

“We can’t continue making excuses when children don’t behave and disrupt the educational environment for teachers and students,” she said. “That’s all I can say on that matter.” And what a judgemental and blunt statement it was, the woman should be, um, whats the word? Ah, I got it, she should be… promoted.

The next day, the Uhurus staged a small demonstration in St. Petersburg. Eight protesters stood in front of John Hopkins and chanted as classes let out Wednesday.

They took aim (literally as well as figuratively) at Clark, the school district and St. Petersburg police, who have arrested 84 John Hopkins students this school year — the most arrests by far in any city middle school.

“Janet Clark! Must Go!” they chanted. “School board! Must go!

“First they fail black children! Then they jail black children!”

The group’s president, Chimurenga Waller, said he blames the school’s troubles on the adults who run the school system, not the children who go there. “We don’t have a John Hopkins crisis,” he said. “We have a systematic crisis.” A systematic crisis? Hmmm… another person who needs an English dictionary.

Asked how he would describe the unruly students blamed for the daily fights and misconduct that has plagued John Hopkins this year, Waller declined to answer. He only knew one word that would accurately describe the situation and that word was hoodlum and he couldn’t say it.

Billie Blackshear, 64, whose nephew attends John Hopkins, said Clark’s word choice was impolite — but not inaccurate.

“At the time I thought it was wrong,” he said. “But it describes the kids who are doing this kind of stuff.”

And now some of the reader comments…

To: nobody
Should have come with a ‘Barf Alert’ .
This is complete with a ‘Peoples Democratic xxxx’ (Communists/Socialist) and PC run amok.

To: Daffynition
“Asked how he would describe the unruly students blamed for the daily fights and misconduct that has plagued John Hopkins this year, Waller declined to answer.”

I don’t know who asked Waller the question but whoever it was…..handed Waller’s bloody butt to him.

To: Sporaticus
Get used to it. I’ve given up ….We’re not going to be able to stem the tide of PCism unless there is a way to get rid of the ACLU and their ilk.

“The International People’s Democratic Uhuru Movement — better known as the Uhurus ”

They held a parade in Oakland to celebrate the killing of four Oakland police officers by a child-raping thug:

The International People’s Democratic Uhuru Movement (InPDUM) sponsored a march, rally, and vigil for Lovelle Mixon on Wednesday, March 25th. Lovelle Mixon’s mother, his wife, several of his brothers, and at least one cousin were present. Many people were upset with the all of the official sympathies expressed for the four police officers who died Saturday, while none was offered to the family of Lovelle Mixon

Screw ’em.

What the TEA Party is and is not
By Steve Thompson, Chairman of the Butte County Republican Party

Since their recent inception, the TEA Party movement has grown enormously throughout the country. Normal, average citizens, some for the first time in their life, are taking notice of American politics and getting involved. It is a heartfelt love of their nation, and a great concern that it is heading in the wrong direction, that has inspired so many of them to stand up and be counted. They have shocked into action by the extreme leftward lurch of our nation’s government.

A small but vocal minority in this country has set out to derail the TEA Party movement. These are people who view honest everyday citizens as a threat to their bids for power. They have thrown out every dishonest accusation possible to try and turn people away from this movement. The two main lies they are spreading are that: One, the TEA Party members are Republican plants, and; Two, the TEA Party members are all evil racists.

Racism is an UGLY accusation. It is comparable to accusations of Hitler/fascism, which are usually used by those on the losing side of the argument. Do not be fooled, it is not racism that motivates this movement. Most of the accusers in this case know it’s not true and are willfully trying to deceive you. The people who oppose our current president are more interested in his policies than his skin color. They are happy to stand shoulder to shoulder with Americans of any race for their shared ideals.

The other accusation, that the TEA Party is a Republican construct, is interesting but also a falsehood. Unlike the racism line, I think a lot of the TEA Party’s opponents actually believe this one though, and I could see why. A lot of what the TEA Party stands for, limited government, lower taxation, more individual responsibility and freedom, are all ideals the Republican Party has championed over the years. There are also a lot of republican activists who are helping out with the TEA party events as well. This is a pluralist partnership, not control.

I believe the TEA Party is at its best as a strong watchdog movement. As a Republican, I want the TEA Party there to keep our elected representatives, democrat or republican, honest and accountable to the ideals that I share with the TEA Party. This can be done much in the same fashion as the NRA, of which I’m also a member. The NRA guards over our second amendment right to own firearms. They are willing to endorse republicans or democrats who stand with them, and willing to oppose those who do not. Most of the time, it is republicans who happen to respect our second amendment rights more than democrats, but not always, and I would never want the NRA to rubber stamp their support for anyone simply because of their party. In fact, I wish more democrats would strive to receive “A” ratings from the NRA and that we could put this crazy notion of the government controlling our firearms to rest.

The TEA Party can and should operate along the same lines. They are champions of limited government and lower taxes. There is no reason why they cannot praise democrats who stand with them on these issues. From what I have seen, they are certainly willing to chastise republicans who are not.

The great thing about the TEA Party movement is that they are in tune with what Americans really want. They are the silent majority come to life, and more democrats should start thinking about this. Actually a growing number of democrats have thought about this and they are dropping like flies. Congressman Stupak is just the latest to retire rather than be thrown out by angry voters.

Throughout the history of our nation and even before, there has always been a great struggle between those who believe in liberty and freedom, and those who prefer authoritarian control. We are in that struggle now, and I am extremely discouraged that so many on the left are so willing to give up their freedom for the promises of financial security. Those who study history know that, in the end, they will receive neither, or at least see both greatly reduced. Unfortunately they’re trying to drag the rest of us down into servitude with them.

Say what you will about the TEA Party, but they are today’s champions of liberty and freedom. If Americans ever get the greedy hands of government out of their pocketbooks, and the boots of the authoritarians off of their necks, it will be because the TEA Party stood with them. It will be because average, ordinary Americans picked up their flags and their banners and said enough, we are Taxed Enough Already!!!

Lieberman & Collins May Subpoena Obama Administration

Posted by Tina

“Lieberman warns he’ll issue subpoenas over Ft. Hood shootings,” by J. Taylor Rushing – The Hill

Senate Homeland Security Committee Chairman Joe Lieberman (I-Conn.) on Thursday threatened to subpoena the Obama administration if it doesn’t release information by next Monday on the Fort Hood shootings in November. ** The dramatic, bipartisan vow opens a new rift with the White House for the Independent Lieberman as well as the possibility of President Barack Obama’s first legal showdown with Congress. Lieberman and ranking Homeland Security panel member Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine) said they would issue the subpoenas to the Defense Department and Justice Department under their own authority on Monday, and would seek full committee approval to take the administration to court if the information isn’t released.

APRIL 15th – TAX DAY IS HERE!

2194-teacrowd-thumb-500x250-2193.jpg

On this day a year ago, there were no less than 800 cities across America and that was a very credible start. Today that number has grown to several thousand cities and there are millions of members. No political movement or organization of any kind has ever grown so fast.

I remember this day last year quite well, because in my hometown one person had the drive and the wherewithal to organize our first Tea Party protest in the downtown plaza. About 700 people showed up. That organizer was Cynthia Van Aucken and she is in my mind a true blue patriot. I thank her time, trouble and even using her own money to make that event happen. It was a bold and courageous thing to do and it has inspired many people to do their part too.

Since then many other patriots have stepped forward to help hold our Tea Party meetings and plan events. In the last year the Tea Party has been subjected to unwarranted attacks by those who misunderstood and feared us and those who opposed our founding principals. And despite this and a news media that often times seemed determined to under-report our numbers and avoid coverage of our events, the Tea Party movement has flourished. Today, a year later, this movement is just too big to be ignored anymore and it is still growing.

If you believe that America is on the wrong track, that we are over-taxed and under represented, that our government is frivolously spending away our prosperity and herding us towards massive debt and socialism…then join us and take a stand for liberty as our founding fathers did! Be seen and be heard and come out to the Chico Downtown Plaza Today and support the Independent, Non-Partisan, Tea Party movement.

What “Patriots” & Supporters Want

Posted by Tina

The group “Tea Party Patriots”, one of the major players in the greater Tea party movement created a new Contract From America. Recently they conducted a survey to discover which of the proposals were most important to the people.

The most popular provision of the Contract From America is a requirement that every piece of legislation approved by Congress must include a specific provision of the Constitution that authorizes the bill. This provision was supported by 82 percent of the respondents.

The next most popular provision was rejection of the proposed Cap and Trade anti-global warming bill that would put the federal government in charge of regulating all activities using carbon-based fossil fuels. This provision was supported by 72 percent of the respondents.

The third most popular provision would establish a movement for a balanced budget amendment and a requirement that tax hikes be approved by two-thirds majorities in Congress. This provision drew the support of 69 percent of the respondents.
