Trump Tests Positive for Covids

President Trump said Friday on Twitter that he and the first lady have tested positive for the coronavirus.

The stunning announcement came hours after the president said he and Mrs. Trump had begun “a quarantine process” after White House advisor Hope Hicks tested positive for the virus. Hicks, who serves as counselor to the president, is one of the president’s closest advisors.

In a tweet, the president said:

“Tonight, @FLOTUS and I tested positive for COVID-19. We will begin our quarantine and recovery process immediately. We will get through this TOGETHER!”

White House physician Sean Conley said in a memo dated Oct. 1 that he had received confirmation “this evening” that Trump and his wife Melania Trump had tested positive for the virus.

Conley said Trump will continue “carrying out his duties without disruption while recovering” from the virus.

First Debate: Chris Wallace five Stars, candidates, well, uh….

Trump was an interrupting blowhard, Biden an interrupting bloviator. Both were nauseating except I give the smug Biden the blue ribbon for vomitous, boorish tripe. It was the worst presidential debate I have ever seen. Which means, of course, it was the most interesting presidential debate I have ever seen.

Chris Wallace is, certainly, the most outstanding and competent presidential debate interviewer there has ever been and probably ever will be. I admire his tolerance, patience and skill.

The big question for me is will Trump learn from this or will he simply ignore any advisors? Seriously, he could have kept his big fat yap shut and let Biden hang himself on numerous occasions. Shut up, let Biden speak, and then respond to his lies and half baked lunacy.

Both candidates “achieved” but one thing — preaching to their respective choirs.

If even that.

First Debate – Biden 0, Trump -5

by Jack

If it was Trump’s plan to come off bombastic, rude and annoying during this debate, he succeeded beyond all reasonable expectations.

I flipped around the channels right after the big debate.  I knew the news anchors were ready to skewer Trump, as they always do.  This was a given before the debate even started.

However, the response from them was worse than I imagined.  They were genuinely upset to the degree they were going completely off script and venting!  CNN’s anchorette called this debate a disgusting  “sh– show” on national television.  Can you believe it?  And Andrea Mitchell on MSNBC said it was the worst debate she’s ever witnessed.  I’m quoting from some of the MSM forums, “the American people lost tonight.”  “It was a disaster.”  “Moderator (Chris Wallace) lost control.”  “Tonight Trump lost the election.”  “Worst debate in history.”  And it went on and on like this until I just turned off the TV.

Trump has had almost 4 years of unrelenting, emotional torment by democrats and their allies in the news media.  I can well understand his anger, but that’s not what serves you best in a national debate.  Better to be calm, reserved, witty, articulate, you know…all the things Trump isn’t.

So the setup for tonight’s Trump show was the dems did him dirty and now he’s going to get even.  I get it, its safe to say, no president in history has ever been treated worse by the opposition.   However, he’s the president, he won!  He’s supposed to act presidential in spite of all the dirty deals.   But, I didn’t see a president tonight, I saw a highly offended loud mouth.   Trump was so angry, so eager to blurt it all out, that he could barely finish his sentences before he moved on to address the next grievance.   He looked every bit the out-of-control egomaniac the left claims him to be.

Over on the other podium, old Joe Biden was kind of an empty suit.  He stumbled a few times, not bad, but it was noticeable.   A few times it looked like he might have forgot what he was trying to say, except Trump jumped in and interrupted.

Biden’s performance was boring and I’m worried that might be what people are looking for.  Biden never answered a direct question with a direct answer.   In other words he fit the mold of the kind politician we’ve all come to know and dislike.  But, Trump, Trump scared people tonight.  He was too over the top.  He was incapable of pulling it together long enough to score any points.  Trump couldn’t go 2 seconds without talking over Chris Wallace or Biden.

I felt sorry for Wallace as he tried in vain to keep the two candidates on subject and on schedule.  At one point Wallace turned to express his frustrations to Joe Biden!  If Trump’s conduct can do that to a conservative moderator what did he just do to the American public?

Trump’s greatest problem was and has always been… himself.  If there was ever any doubt of that tonight proved it. Unless something earthshaking happens, I think Trump just got Joe Biden elected with Kamala Harris as the president in waiting.  If that’s true, may God help us.

EVACUATION ORDERS – AGAIN!!!

by Jack

CONCOW — The Butte County Sheriff’s Office has issued an immediate evacuation order for the areas of Pulga, Concow, Big Bend, and Yankee Hill due to fire. The order comes after  Cal Fire-Butte County said tonight that a flare-up in the Bucks Lake area of the North Complex Fire was a concern to them.

Winds tonight in that area were expected to have gusts up to 35 MPH.

Stirling City, Magalia, and Paradise are under an evacuation warning for the entire Town of Paradise.  Town officials are asking residents to prepare for possible evacuation by gathering personal belongings that will fit in your vehicle, make arrangements for pets and animals.  Residents should be prepared to leave at a moment’s notice.

Please be aware that many intersections are dark, the stoplights are out due to the PSPS.  Please pay attention to the stop signs and treat dark intersections as a 4 way stop.  If you feel you need to evacuate, please do so.  If you feel unsafe, please take action, do not wait for a formal evacuation order.

Residents are advised to use extreme caution, drive safely and follow the directions of all public safety and public agency personnel and representatives.

That was the official statement, now here’s my unofficial one:

I’m thinking right now, its a good thing we haven’t defunded the police or harassed them to the point of quitting their jobs.  Because right now things don’t look so good for a lot of folks just east of us, above Paradise.

I stood outside my home today around 4 pm and watched with dred as the blue sky quickly filled with reddish brown clouds like Hell was coming.  This dirty red/brown smoke rolled over the town in less than 10 minutes and blotted out the sun.

I can only imagine what is happening up the road from us, the chaos, the homes and barns burning, people making a mad dash to escape a wall of 60′ high flames.  Those who wait too long to leave will soon be danger close to the fire.  That could result in their vehicles not starting, there won’t be enough oxygen in the air.  If that happens there is no way to outrun a wild fire on foot.  You have to head for ditches, culverts, swimming pools, whatever you can and pray.    We saw that happen in Paradise the last time and here it comes again.   What a place to live.
