Our first event was a “Sounds of Silence” dinner to enjoy the setting sun behind the domes of Kata Tjuta (the Olgas) and do some star gazing; however, it was overcast and the wind was blowing. Not to worry.
Even though our “starlight” dinner was obscured by clouds and there was a constant threat of rain, we still participated in a gourmet candlelight meal. First we had champagne and canapes made from alligator, kangaroo and salmon while an Aboriginal tribe member played the didgeridoo (long hollowed out sapling) which Kathy also tried.
