Act One: Reducing the Size of Government

Posted by Tina

The Trump administration is committed to reducing the size and cost of government and is poised to do exactly that. Proposed changes range in savings from $10.5 trillion over 10 years to a more modest $8.6 trillion in ten years.

Reducing the size and cost of our federal bureaucracy is an impressive goal from my perspective. I eagerly await the final legislation to accomplish this savings. Impressive too is the revelation that the Trump transition team is practicing what they preach. Today it was announced that they came in “on time and below budget” and will be returning 20% of their budget to the treasury.

The following proposed changes are reported today at The Hill:

The departments of Commerce and Energy would see major reductions in funding, with programs under their jurisdiction either being eliminated or transferred to other agencies. The departments of Transportation, Justice and State would see significant cuts and program eliminations.

The Corporation for Public Broadcasting would be privatized, while the National Endowment for the Arts and National Endowment for the Humanities would be eliminated entirely.

No wonder Meryl Streep was tearing out her expensive quaff. She’s convinced that if the government doesn’t promote and fund the arts they will disappear. What a fool! The more experienced and wealthy members of the arts would do a much better job both creatively and financially. Of course they’d have to take the risks along with the rewards but isn’t that what people like Meryl Streep do every time they launch a new movie?

Our government has been too big, too bloated, and too inefficient for a long, long time. The services they supposedly offer have not been all that great either…education and housing are two specific examples of inefficiency and poor outcomes. It’s time to cut out the bloat and the Trump team is this nations best hope…you go guys!

  1. Dewster says:

    Act one

Get rid of all agencies that protect the American People, their food and water.

Give the 1% massive tax cuts cutting revenue.

How do we pay for that while increasing military spending to private companies?

Cut Social Security, Vets Benefits, All safety nets, medicaid ad medicare.

Privatize all infrastructure to International companies. Make the people pay tolls and high water charges to foreign companies ect ect. Just wait and they’ll put a meter on your toilet to increase profits.

Congress already played the trick of Reducing the value of all fed land National parks ect ect to Zero so when sold they do not have to show how to make up for the loss of revenue these lands bring. They will sell our parks and monuments for pennies on the dollar and we will see all land go by the end of 2 Terms. Ya know that Master landlord dEAL

So also sell off the People’s land to foreign and domestic Billionaires and companies.

Reducing gov means selling us off into a 100% Fascist country owned by Foreign companies and Billionaires.

Act 2 will be the end.

We need to clean out the fascists and Millionaires out of gov not get rid of it for an Authoritarian Fascist Regime. That Land is the peoples.

Bottom Line now is the time for all fascists to admit exactly what they are.

The people who say they are against the very departments they were chosen to run? The destruction of The United States of America into a fascist regime where everything is owned and traded on wall street.

You will only pay higher taxes so You loose. They will pay no tax and own everything. Nice
A bunch of Old White Millionaires who hate democracy will finally bring the empire down.

I say Good Ridden. You guys deserve it as Do the Democrats.

Only question is how will this go as civil war breaks out and they start killing off citizens for dissent?

I assume your guns are gone right? Obama got your guns right?

I am 100% for #CalExit. We need a 2 state solution. The east and the west. The west prefers democracy and to get the money out of politics. Yosemite will go very fast koch wants it

    • Tina says:

This is the crap the protesters believe. It’s adolescent drivel.

      • Dewster says:

No that is the written Conservative Agenda. Tina get real. That is your platform in writing even back when David Koch ran for VP it is written in his platform.

        Own it PERIOD

        • Tina says:

David Koch is not the Trump administration, however, he has some very good ideas.

People who expect the government to do everything are people ripe for fascism, communism, socialism and military dictatorship. America was created so that the people could be free…and personally responsible.

YOU GET REAL and accept the foundation of this nation…or go somewhere that suits you better. I understand their doing well in Venezuela under your big government model.

        • Tina says:

Dewey the federal bureaucracy doesn’t keep the people safe. If it did there wouldn’t be so much screaming from the likes of YOU! It makes more sense for the states to address many of the issues in question since They can address problems that affect the people in the state…they already do anyway. Federal intervention ends up duplicating efforts creating redundancy and additional cost with an ineffective bureaucracy.

I am HAPPY to OWN any platform that calls for greater efficiency, lower cost, and more power vested in the people!

    Plans in the works ………….
    http://thehill.com/policy/finance/314991-trump-team-prepares-dramatic-cuts

So nice to see an elected official actually making good on their promises – in spite of the steam coming outta the ears of the LunaticLeft and their media presstitutes.

  3. Libby says:

Well, that’s what The Heritage Foundation wants to do … turn the nation into a cultural desert … a land of “The Apprentice” viewers. They have wanted to do this for quite some time (would you believe they’ve STILL got their knickers in a twist over those Maplethorpe photos?), but I don’t think, even now, they will be able to.

    We’ll have to see.

    • Tina says:

Libby why in the world would that happen? Don’t the Meryl Streeps of this nation care enough to pick up the ball and run with it? Wouldn’t those who love and work in the field do a better job? Good grief there’s enough millionaires in Hollywood and NYC to fund the arts. There are plenty of billionaires that love the opera, the symphony, museums and plays on Broadway. (Besides a lot of that taxpayer art money just gets kicked back to lefty politics…so much for culture)

Have you considered the cost of collecting and distributing that NEA grant money? People with money who love the arts would see their money better spent without that hungry middle man. It’s common sense! You with your noses stuck high in the air may not appreciate the economics of it but those who watch “The Apprentice” sure do. It’s a bit obscene to ask them to pay for art the artsy wealthy can easily support out of their own sheltered funds.

Robert Redford’s Sundance Institute gets some NEA funding but if you look at some of their other donors it’s hard to believe Sundance would have trouble sustaining without the NEA.

      We certainly will see.

      • Libby says:

School teachers, jazz composers, and writers who will never write the “great american novel” get NEA monies. And if that ceases, we are looking at a decidedly impoverished culture.

But none of this will bother you.

        • Tina says:

Bologna! I suggest that in many ways we’ve gone downhill culturally and artistically since 1965 when the NEA was created (with good intentions).

Your opinion assumes all works of art both great and small, prior to 1965, “never” happened…couldn’t happen…so dependent on government handouts are those in the arts community.

Or maybe the success of early writers, see here, composers, see here, or artists, see here are the result of sheer luck.

Geez Libby, get a grip. Art is brought to life with commitment, creativity, persistence, and undying dedication. Government isn’t the great provider you imagine it to be.

          • Libby says:

I don’t imagine. It has been. Our government has filled a roll that the petty, bigoted and venal citizenry cannot muster the will to do themselves. You put a stop to it, and “Third World”, here we come.

        • Peggy says:

Hey Libs, the NEA didn’t exist when John Steinbeck wrote his “great American novel” or when Louie Armstrong was playing jazz all over the world.

Hummmm, how did that happen without gov’t aide?

To be fair, gov’t funds should also not be going to fund the NFL, NASCAR or any of the arts/entertainment cultural venues, whether Ms Streep approves of them or not.

          • Dewster says:

Corporate Welfare subsidies? Gonna Help us fight against them?

look at the Money we send foreign Gov’s who have universal healthcare? Heck even Russians are guaranteed Healthcare.

I hope they repeal the ACA . I want all Americans to feel the pain fast so we can unite and get to work.

We are a fascist country where investor profits are first written into law.

The gen public does not own large blocks of stock.

          • Tina says:

Agreed Peggy. The handouts have got to stop. The massive debt should be reason enough!

Funny lefties seem to grasp the concept of moderation when it comes to diets for fat people…so tyrannical too about it! Why can’t the get that America needs to tighten her belt?

        • Dewster says:

Goes back to Regan, ya know those hippies.

These people think liberty is to force their views on everybody.

This country was built on Dissent. The time has come again to rise. The fascists took us from the inside. There are both Democrats and Dems that work for these corporations,

We have to call out the bad and praise the good with no party politics. I hope other parties are formed.

  4. dewster says:

    We Will not accept fascism

Stop cashing any SS ck denounce any medicare

    you selected This

I want immediate cut-off for all Seniors who voted for fascism

I voted against Hillary and Trump

    • Tina says:

      “We Will not accept fascism”

Then stop sounding like a nasty little fascist!

“I want immediate cut-off for all Seniors who voted for fascism”

Yep…spoken like a tin pot dictator! (Fascist!!)

“I voted against Hillary and Trump”

Giving you exactly zero power to affect outcomes. Sound and fury signifying nothing.

No worries, you can always award yourself a participation trophy.

  5. Peggy says:

    Off topic.

The man behind the curtain revealed. Being president of the US was just a stepping stone to the UN where he could be president of the world. Record setting 1700+ criminals released on our streets while he has secret service for life to protect him and his family.

This is an excellent article by Charles Krauthammer exposing the real Obama.

    http://www.nationalreview.com/article/444044/barack-obama-exit-reveals-true-colors?utm_source=nr&utm_campaign=true-colors&utm_medium=facebook&utm_content=Krauthammer

    • Tina says:

Good article, Peggy. My favorite paragraph:

Daniel Patrick Moynihan, the U.S. ambassador to the U.N. who went on to be a great Democratic senator, once argued passionately that in the anti-American, anti-democratic swamp of the U.N., America should act unwaveringly in opposition and never give in to the jackals. Obama joined the jackals.

The UN is the swamp of the radical international political left.

      • Peggy says:

Remember articles came out early last year about Obama campaigning to be the next secretary general of the UN and Bebe Net. was trying to stop him. Obama getting America to vote against Israel was his way of eliminating Bebe from stopping him from his goal of being president/king of the world.

I said back then Obama was using being president of America as a stepping stone. And with his support of most/all of the Arab countries that want Israel destroyed he’s guaranteed their votes now because America threw Israel under the bus and for the vultures to swoop in.

The man is evil and must be stopped.

Hopefully, enough read Krauthammer’s article and will heed his warning.

  6. Tina says:

Libby the rich already pay the lions share of the taxes. It makes more sense for them to direct and invest their “art and culture” dollars DIRECTLY! Why pay for all of that bureaucracy when the arts could get the whole shebang.

In terms of who is “petty, bigoted, and venal, it might be interesting to discover who on the left would “pony up” for the thing they claim is so important. Why should the very wealthy of Hollywood and New York depend on government to fund their projects when they can put more of their money directly into the hands of the artist?

Or are you certain that the wealthy left artistic community is just that cheap…and bigoted…and venal?

Do you deny that artists prior to 1965 created great works without government support?

Hey, I’ll help. Go here to start your own local arts program or agency:

Did you know hat the nonprofit arts and culture industry …

    generated $61.1 billion in revenue?
    supported 4.13 million full-time jobs?
generated $86.68 billion in resident household income?

    See these things already exist.

I wonder how many depend on government handouts which they then funnel back in the form of contributions to Democrats?

Risk and reward. You lefty’s need to reacquaint yourselves with the concept.

    • Dewster says:

Tina, BULL! 1 out of 4 corporations do not pay taxes. Trump is reported to not pay taxes.

You vote against yourself and buy the crap they Brainwash you with. The rich? Those who sit around and rip off the markets all day?

We need a .01 cent wall street transaction tax. Even that Penney would raise millions. But the point would be to track all those high speed transactions that they manipulate the market with.

What About Trumps? CAB? Insider Trading and all that? Oh yea Republicans never do any wrong

Get Real America is going down. I want to leave so bad it is not funny. And I am not paying for a wall!

  7. Dewster says:

57% of the Budget is spent on Military. Audit the Pentagon and military waste?

Let us just cut everything down until the Fascists, their international corporations, and the Bankers own and run everything.

You think your taxes are going to ever go down significantly?

They cut the taxes for the 1% who are already very rich and somehow that makes u do better?

You sell fascism. You sell corporate rule.

You speak privatize which means sell to the rich and corporations.

    WHat a Load!

You are so brainwashed by the heritage foundation aka KOCH that you can not even be truthful.

All you want is REPUBLICAN, and all Corporate Dems want is Democrat and all that means is the same thing without the safety net.

Good Bye America and Good Bye Democracy

    Well Played folks

You are destroying the last thread of decency.

The 2 Party system is a sham

First Press conference your press secretary lies? About silly stuff? Really? We see the lower attendance numbers for the Inaug and the streets around America so full that they fill up the Parade routes full of resistors and his Ego is all that matter?

    IDIOT in Chief

All you want is to dictate to all people your fascist views because it is constitutional? NO…..Your right?…NO……. Liberty?….NO

    Authoritarian Dictatorship YES

Your Goldman Sachs Swamp Is worse than that Hillary Gal. HYPOCRITES>

    • Tina says:

Get a clue, Dewey! In reality the consumer pays the taxes of corporations with higher prices.

But if what you say is true explain where the $341.7 billion in corporate tax collected in 2015 come from?

Your proposed tax on “wall street” would hurt every American with a pension. so much for your concern for the people.

Trumps tax ideas will make tax collection more transparent and incentivize companies to bring trillions home where profits from this investment will be taxed at a lower rate. Remember that $341.7 billion figure and watch it grow in the future!

I support you in your desire to leave the country…bon voyage! Running, especially from ignorance, is never a good idea, however.

    • Tina says:

You are full of hot air!
